    Taboca Lös; Review

    Another new one to me. I have the portions, and enjoy them, but not as much as Gotland which has a similar flavor. I was hoping this would be like Montecristo lös for all intensive porpoises; Sadly that's not the case. It seems a little more plain, and it doesn't have the depth of flavor Montecristo has. The cut's medium fine, and it has fairly distinct bergamot flavor, with a little bitterness in the back. It's similar to Gotland Gul, but not as complex. It's to Gotland Gul, what Milky Way is to Snickers. Kind of similar, but lacking core components.

    It's good, and worth a try, but for the money, Gotland is superior.

    Doesnt that come in a smaller tin than others too? Thats what has been keeping me from trying it.

      Yea, it's a 35g tin. I'd grab it just to try it. It's a cool tin, and compared to smoking, the 35g size is still a bargain. It's a good snus, and I'll probably get the occasional single, but it isn't a roll buy for me.

        Yup it comes in the same size as the Monte los, 35g.

          Let me add my 0.02.

          The lös is OK, but pretty disappointing compared to the portions, which really surprised me. I too was hoping this tasted like the Monte, but it's closer to the Romeo y Julieta which I wasn't very impressed with. It's still a decent lös, and I pick some up whenever Buysnus runs it on sale (which is usually a few times a year).

            Just a small bump. I've been getting a fair amount of sand in the snus. Gellivare products also gave you that, but the pay off was a stellar snus experience. In the Taboca it's just a nuisance :^D

            I'd still recommend a tin to try, but I hold that position for almost every snus. After using it a couple of days, I don't think I'll get it again. It's too similar to the Gotland Gul, with the Gotland being superior in just about every aspect to bother wasting the money(smaller tin, higher shipping due to tin weight)

                Is it easier to bake than traditional Gotlands? I'd like to try it at least once even if the flavor is a little off, but I won't bother if I can't even keep it together...

                Hell, who am I kidding...I'll end up ordering it anyway just so I have a new tin to look at. 8)

                  I hardly ever handbake anymore, and I haven't handbaked the Gotland yet that has the new finer grind. The old coarse style was virtually unbakeable though :^D

                  Just for you, I handbaked some Taboca. It's a little granular, and I would consider it to be on the harder side to handbake. Not difficult, but it doesn't put itself together like most snus does :^D

                  If you've ever had Landströms, it almost has that consistency, but it much easier to bake than that is. Anyone with experience handbaking should have no problem whatsoever. A newbie might find it frustrating if he got a tin of this in his first order.
