    Opinion of Low Cost Snus?

I tired my first can of Offroad Strong Portion and Kronan Original portion. I've been pleased with General, Ettan and Tre Ankare but thought I'd try a cheaper one to compare. The Offroad (Wintergreen Strong Portion) I didn't care for. The pouch seemed to shrink to nothing once it was under my lip. Didn't care for Wintergreen either and will try no more. The Kronan original portion I found to be pretty good and will probably mix a few cans of it in with my orders for the more expensive stuff. Anyone have an opinion on these?

I find I like the Offroad loose much more than the portions. Your feeling of the portion "shrinking" is right on the money, and I find this happens with quite a few of the lower cost portions. It is almost like some of the portions have about 1.5 grams while others have .5, but the makers are content that a can works out to 24 grams in the end. If you haven't yet, try Knox. For my money, it is about the best cheap snus.

Yeah, Swedish Match definitely have the best portions. If you've seen the video of their factory you can tell the level of quality control is exceptional. The place is as clean as a hospital and workers are in there spot-checking the portions with digital balances - it's great! Skruf portions are probably second - also good and quite consistent. I've only ever had a couple which were malformed or over/undersized. Knox is by Skruf, btw - one of the best low-cost snus out there.

Knox is my favourite low cost Snus. I think it's a contender for General for sure.

kronan and knox are the only low cost stuff I ever snus.
They have the swedish match nad skruf brand on them.
That means they have a reputation to up hold.

For portion in general i like skruf best.
swedish match orginal portions are to runny.

I use opouches only. I like Kronan better than Knox, actually i dislike Knox.
To me, Kronan seems the best low cost snus. It would be interesting to try the new white pouch version.

Out of the low cost Snus I have only tried Knox (mini and regular size portions), and if I wasn't enjoying my love affair with Nick (and Johnny for that matter), I would buy Knox by the roll for an everyday portion.

I've just had LD and was unimpressed with it. I got it as a freebie in one of my orders from Northerner.

It was only 45 grams instead of the regular 50 and was OK for the first half hour but swiftly became bitter to me thereafter.

Around here, Copenhagen costs $5.37 for a 34 gram can, so ALL snus is "low-cost" to me.

I ordered a log of Ettan and payed around $3.90 a can - 50 gram can, I might add - including shipping.

In my opinion, there is no such thing as expensive snus.

I'll definitely give Knox a try. Sounds good.

Well, I just ordered my first roll of Knox. I tried it and loved it. I also bought a couple of tins of Nick and Johnny which are also great.

Awesome, I am currently back on Knox fulltime and spicing it up with some N&J and Roda Lacket on occasion!

I like General and Knox about equally but love the lower price on Knox. I don't feel like I'm sacrificing anything in quality.
