First time poster

I've been hiding in the lurking tree for a while, and decided to join the madness finally.

I've been using Snus and Snuff for about 2 years now and consider myself an Ettan and Roda Lacket whore, I absolutely love all kinds of both brands. Did I mention I'm a los head as well?

As for the Snuff, I've tried a few different kinds, but I always go back to Wilsons Apricot and Lemon Grove for some reason.

Who else mixes Snus and Snuff here? I've got a pris of RL in now and a nose full of Apricot, they mix very well.

We have quite a few of us that use snuff as well. I am still relatively new, about 3 months with the snuff now, 28 months with snus. And am about as vocal of a fan for snuff as there is. Roderick with Toque kinda got a bunch of us started here. He came and introduced himself about 9 months ago, and is quite active here, although not nearly as much as he is over at snuffouse.org

Glad you finally decided to speak up. I promise, we don't bite....much. :wink:

I appreciate the welcome sage. One of the topics I followed here pretty closely was your dabbling into the world of los. Is that still ongoing? I didn't think I would like los either but I took the plunge and ordered a couple of cans along with an Icetool and fell in love. I just feel that using los lets you taste the snus better and what's in it.

Welcome sandman! I just started using snus about 2 months ago, and about 2 weeks later, thanks to Sage's constant pimping of snuff, I started using that as well!

This is a great forum. Without it I don't think I would have ever stuck with snus and been able to quit smoking and dipping.

Welcome again, and it's great to finally "hear" from you. 8)

I used to smoke also, tried everything to quit, but nothing worked. A friend introduced me to snus and I just put the cigarettes down. I have tried smoking since then, not full time, but now I can't stand them. I can't even smoke a whole cigarette without being disgusted.

Not to stir panic but I don't know what to do if this PACT Act shit goes through because I don't want to go back to smoking, but what other choice do I have?

Ettan los/snuff junkie here as well. In fact it's dangerously close to that time of day where I pack a snus snarl of Ettan and snarf up FUBAR till the office lights get halo's :wink:

PACT Act wise, we'll just have to wait and see. I'm sure though no matter how it lands we'll be able to get our goods.

Really pathetic. I am down to using los about once a week. Just not what I want to reach for. And even with Icetool, not really coming to like it any better than my first attempt. But won't give up, will keep using when the mood strikes.

As for your other post about the PACT act, I understand the concerns. I use nicotine to self medicate my ADHD, and simply won't give it up. At my darkest moments, just said hell, i will go back to cigarettes. But I am buying a vaporizer for my "other" habit tonight. And that got me to thinking about using the vape to smoke tobacco. So early next month, i am gonna experiment and go a day without snus and just depend on teh vape. Am really curious how it will do inn meeting my nicotine needs. If it works, then that would be my fallback position should the (highly doubtful in my honest opinion) snus get taken away from me. I figure vaporizing the tobacco should leave it about as safe as snus, without that nasty smell that comes from combusting it.

Look for my posts on this when I have everything pulled together. Will be making a snus, snuff, and tobacco purchase when I get paid on the 1st.

Sage I understand what you're saying about using nicotine to kind of "self medicate." I use tobacco and nicotine to pretty much make myself a better person. My job is pretty stressful and nicotine keeps me from choking the shit out of people :lol: , and as crazy as it may sound, nicotine relaxes me and helps me sleep.
I look forward to hearing about the vaporizer experiment.
