Oh wow. I just got General's Wintergreen. I now understand what you guys having be raving about all this. And now I look down on Camel's and Marlboro's attempts at snus even more now. I was a bit unsure about how the regular would smell, having been used to the non-tobacco smell coming of people smoking cigarettes, I decided to go with the wintergreen flavor just to be safe.
But this... :O
Did the taste burn? No.
Ammonia taste and or smell? No.
Did the little pouches feel like sandpaper against my lip? No. - Heck, when I feel that area of the lip it still feels very smooth, not rash-like as with other experiences with pouches, especially with American snus.
And while I still am not a fan of swallowing, all the juices floating around with the saliva tasted pretty mellow and not harsh at all. Definitely seem swallow-friendly.
And while the taste of the Wintergreen was not as strong as Grizzly's dip, it was still very nice.
Question, though, does General's have greater amount of nicotine or something. I seemed to have received a slight headache the first minute or two, which quietly went away within no time.
I thought General wintergreen was decent, though I am not a wintergreen tobacco fan.
For me, I have a General OP in now.
Yep. But I thought it wasn't too bad for a first "actual snus" experience. I was even caught of guard by the fact that it actually had ingredients listed on a can, my head almost exploded.

GW has a reported 8mg per pouch ...
about roughly 3X Camel/Marlboro ...
probably the reason for the slight headache.
As you might guess by my post count, I'm pretty new to snus...but after trying quite a few brands, I posted this on the board that originally led me to...
