    General Loose.

I'm not really a big loose fan, though I have used it some before, but I had a whim to get try some more loose, so I got a few cans. I like how the loose tastes, I think I end up eating half of it, and there just seems something magical about a can of loose snus, more earthy and natural, I guess. But I'm still not a fan of how it all mashes on my teeth, and breaks up on the end, resulting in a lot of eatage. I have been hand baking totally, which I find rather easy to do. Overall, I guess for me, it's still just getting used to it with experience.

don't give up, you'll get the hang of it. I've been using nothing but loose for weeks now, and I'll never go back to portions. as I'm sure you've read in various loose-snus-tips threads, over-baking will make it crack; resulting in lots more migration and "snus snacks" in your mouth. while holding the can in my left hand, I take a pinch with my thumb, index and middle finger; all three fingers firmly pressed together. I then form it against the palm of my left hand with the same fingers into a semi-firm, mostly shapeless wad. I only do this for a couple of seconds; just a quick few mashes against the palm with the fingers. the snus never really leaves the fingers. bring it up to the lip with the right hand, index and middle fingers pointing up, thumb down. I sort of use the upward facing middle and index to help lift the lip, and the thumb to gently push it up into the lip. close my mouth, use the tongue to poke it up a bit more; firmly into the upper lip. done! I don't mean to over-explain something simple, but I do hope it helps. also, I've found a way to remove a pinch without shoving your fingers in your mouth, or get it on your teeth. this is a little more difficult to explain, as I'm not sure entirely how I accomplish it, but basically I grit my top and bottom teeth together, make sort of a sneer with my upper lip, and it just pushes the snus right out. just let it drop right out of the lip. good luck!

oh, and Ettan los in the mouth right now... so as not to derail the thread. 8)

I need some Thunder, I am going a little 'sterk' crazy without it.

What's weird is this is just about exactly how I hand bake lately. For removing the lös, yes, hands-free is good; sometimes I use my tongue to make suction and to push it out. I believe my hero, lxskllr, does something like this

The Ettan is going nicely with this Folgers Black Silk. I got a sample pack of this coffee, but I'll likely buy more.
