Much as I love snus ... there's something about Copenhagen that deserves a huge slice of respect in the tradition of oral tobacco despite the fact that it may not be as safe to use a General.
100 years ago Snus and Dip were practically the same thing ... they have the same originsSqueezyjohn
Sometimes wrong and sometimes right .... but ALWAYS certain!!!

Safe to use as general? Im lost. I popped on here and I see all kindsa snuff ive never even heard of. Had to hit the northerner to see the swedish side of things. I think all tobacco is probably unsafe. But if yall know something I don't...by all means...slap me upside the head and let me know

"Unlike dipping tobacco and chew, most snus today does not undergo the fermentation process, but is instead steam-pasteurized. Although steam-pasteurization is remarkably complex, it has the advantages of inhibiting the growth of bacteria that facilitate the formation of tobacco-specific nitrosamines, while preserving the desired texture and mouthfeel of the snus." I dunno about nitrosamines and all that.I do have some tobacco plants growing here at home but I'm always looking for good snuff. Think ive tried just about everything Copenhagen can throw at me. This general onyx stuff sounds interesting and even though its a little more expensive than some of the American premiums its not a ridiculous out of the park amount of money either. Worth a shot.
