    Kardus stash

As some of you may know I purchased two of the limited 2008 edition of Kardus snus.

I am only half way through the first one as I've been relishing the experience as slowly as possible.

The second one is still sealed in my refrigerator having never seen the light of day since it was lovingly closed up at the factory.

So, you may ask, why is bakerbarber posting this? Is he some sort of braggadocios douche? Does he try to break his own arm patting himself on the back? Is he trying to show how easily he tossed his hard earned money at some obscenely expensive snus by buying not one, but two of them?

Ha ha herm.... I was posting because... I don't know. I have Kardus.

What would you do for a sealed tub of Kardus?

It's very limited. It only comes out at xmas time for about 1 month. It had better distribution this year, but the online sellers don't get many "tins". It's very unique, and there isn't anything that's close to it on the market. I still have about 1/2 a tin from this year, and a few pinches from last years edition.

Man, you want to talk about a stupendous letdown? Kardus. I'm still trying to figure out what the big deal is on that. Other than tasting a lot like Grov and being produced on a small scale, what makes it special to you guys?

DISCLAIMER: This isn't a bash post for Kardus, I'm just wondering if maybe I got a bad batch or something. Is it supposed to taste like Grov? I'll go so far to say that if they made an Onyx lös, Kardus could pass for it.

              Really?

I never had the mass produced Kardus, but the 2007 and 2008 versions were like nothing else on the market. From cut to flavor there's nothing to compare it to.

I have about 1/2 of my tin left too. I love the cut and flavor of this stuff but I know it has to last me a whole year so I use it sparingly.

I would def love to try a couple pinches and would pay for them

Also, I would certainly support anyone else's crazy actions in hopes of attaining a bit.

The Kardus I had was not the annual limited edition releases, but the initial regular production run. I wouldn't know exactly how to classify the grind, but I'd say it was more akin to a long cut American dip- really "puffy" if that makes any sense. I guess it was pretty unique in terms of snus grind.

The flavor though was just like Grov with a bit more of a citrus element. It was OK, but I was expecting the be-all, end-all of snus product, and it was just merely adequate. Your tastes seem to parallel mine though, so maybe I'll give it a spin this year and see if there's a difference.
