    Nick (And Johnny) spitting??

So far N&J is by and far my favorite snus, but when I use it all day, it gives me a queesy stomach. It seems that with N&J I salivate more than with other portions I've had.

I normally spit for the first 10 minutes or so after placing the portion, then I can just sit back and enjoy that incredible taste and amazing nic hit until I am finished (1-2 hours).

I'm guessing it's the higher accidity + the excess swalling, but I figured I'd share here since I don't know anyone else to shoot snus talk with

I never spit, but until now I've never used N&J all day long.

Normally, I use two or three different brands on a day, thereof at least one is a bit 'weaker'.

Most of the queasy feeling probably comes from the extra nicotine, you get when swallowing snus-spit.

    Cheers!

Alex - I find the same with N&J. Although I love it if I use too much I get a poorly stomach. I think like Chainsnuser said it's probably because of the extra Nicotine. Maybe use less or mix with a regular Snus between your N&J. I found Offroad Strong had the same effect too.

But it is sooo hard to not snus N&J all day, it's so damn tasty I actually don't mind spitting at work, I only probably spit 15-30 times a day (4 or 5 portions lasts me all day) and when I'm out I can go without spitting since It's not 8 hours of sitting behind a computer and swallowing nicotine.

Are you eating during the day? I've never gotten a queasy stomach from snus, but I've found that it can make me forget about eating. A bit of food, just a light snack or two even, during the day may sort things out. I drink a lot during the day as well - a few coffees, of course, but lots of fluids also. That may help too.

A lot of times I don't eat during the day, especially when snussing, which would definitely contribute.

This may sound completely rediculous, but I'm also always thirsty (I actually talked to a doctor about it) so if I fill the 1 liter Nalgene bottle on my desk full, I'll drink the whole thing within a half hour... so the drinking isn't a problem - or I could be drinking to much with snus

Hrm...that is odd. If it definitely comes and goes with the snus use then it must be something in there that's causing it. The only other thing I can think of is that perhaps you just have low sodium levels. I have no idea what your diet is like, but if you don't eat enough salt it can make your stomach feel queasy. N&J is a bit saltier than some snuses, but it also has more sodium carbonate (to free up more nicotine) - maybe that makes one salivate more to assist dilution (because of irritation), but maybe it could be that your body really wants the salt.

Just an update on my incompatibilty with full time N&J usage. I have switched back to knox for my all-day-at-work snus and I have had none of the problems I had with N&J. I think it may have been just a bit too much for all day snussing, and now I even enjoy N&J more than before. It's become my night out / after dinner treat.

I just ordered a roll during the 3 day free shipping they had - $17 to my doorstep for 10 cans of knox goodness
