$1500 order?

Hello fellow snusonians,

I was informed by my place of business that i will be receiving a safety bonus no less than $1500 ( we had a good year, so they decided to give some cash to the nerds in the nerdery).

So since its free money i am gonna make the most ridiculous order ever! since i have found that frozen snus last s for at-least a year and a half (compared some grov loose that was hidden in the freeze to a new fresh can) I believe i couldn't go wrong... could i? your thoughts please.

Sounds like your budget can entertain that decision. I cannot advise, as I've never spent a tenth of that on snus at one time. Actually, I'll advise: considering the new products we've seen in the past 6-8 months, I prefer smaller orders so I can try new stuff without sitting on 500-600 cans of shit I picked out a year ago. But that's coming from a 13 month user who's never even bought a roll. Congrats on the bonus!

If you mean in 1 huge order, I wouldn't recommend that. You might draw some negative attention from customs. I've heard the magic number is $200. Whether that's true or not, I don't know, but it's better not to tempt the fates imo.

I have narrowed my snus down to three favorites/everyday snus. I really don't care much about the new flavors coming out (these 3 have been my staple snus since i started). But since its basically money that i haven't banked on i could order the trusty 3 and if need be try some new ones one in a small order once every couple months or so.

I wanna make such an order so i don't have too worry every month that customs is gonna take my snus for ransom.

Also before i make such an order i will contact northerner and buysnus and see if they can label my shipment as gift, or crafts. I would hope so since its quite a large order.

However...

I would HIGHLY recommend against blowing that wad on one order. It just wouldn't be smart considering how spotty overseas ordering is, not to mention the unpredictable and decidedly anal tendencies of customs up there. If you're gonna do it, at least break it up into many smaller orders.

I would think that if you're going to order that much you'd at least be able to get it at wholesale cost, don't be afraid to negotiate with these companies, there's no reason to pay sticker price with an order that size.

I forgot you were Canadian. Disregard that $200 figure, that's for the US. I'm not sure what it takes to keep from getting screwed by Canada.

I'm so temped to throw caution to the wind. But Canada does lick balls when it comes to importing tobacco. Several small orders would be good... or even what SnusinUsa mentioned about getting at wholesale and negotiating.

I'm sure my wife will come to her senses and give me a limit... she's the only voice of reason in our household.

Doesn't Northerner advise Canadian customers to never order than 5 cans at a time? Your strange customs practices seem to work in a logarithmic scale. You order $1500 of snus, I'd imagine your customs billl would be at least $10,000.

And not really joking at all when I say that.

HAHAHA yeah i thought of that sage. I'm a combination of giddy and stoned right now. Perhaps once the smoke clears, i will have a sound mind. I could just put the cash into my snus/pot fund and chip away at it.

If it were me, given the recent hub bub here in the sates, I would be making a $200 order ever week for a while. But you are Canadian!! Yeah, your customs sucks but at least your government isn't trying to bad the bleepim sending of snus!!!

sounds like a bad idea to me.

the snus world is always changing and you'll want to try new things/get tired of old things. There's no reason to buy that much at a time. Set aside for snus, sure, but don't do the one big order.

I wouldn't spend that much at once. If you have three "go-to" snus I'd just buy a roll of each. Then you could a REALLY FUN time shopping around and trying all the flavors you want to try but never got around to!

I've never bought more than 10 cans at a time and never more than forty dollars at once.

I'd buy freeze-dried food and solar cells for the upcoming Apocalypse!

Actually, we have a wider variety of snus here in North America via mail order than what you pick up in Sweden. It's about half the price here, too considering the taxes.

But I agree, beautiful country and well worth the vacation. I'm going there myself in about a month. 8)
