New snus user

Last week I took the plunge and bought a can of Camel's Mellow. I kinda liked the first one (I liked not having to spit), but then the experience went downhill with each one after that. It was just too sweet, like having a teabag of pure sugar in my mouth. Even with that, it definitely cut down on my smoking.

Came here, lurked for a while, went to getsnus.com and ordered a couple of variety samplers. They will be here Monday. Can't wait. Even the worst should be much better than Camel.

I ordered the Black and White sampler, and the Mixed White sampler. From the descriptions here I believe I may like the white portions better. Who knows? It will be an adventure just trying new things.

Getsnus is great to order from and you'll be happy with them but don't forget to check Northerner out.

With any luck maybe I'll end up with more than one favorite. The time may soon come when we'll have to buy snus locally, and there aren't very many places here selling it.

May turn out to be a "love the one you're with" kind of thing, only in this case it may be "love the one you can get". BTW, anybody ever met a politician with a brain? :lol:

Hello I'm new to snus as well. Going through my first can of Gen. wintergreen. Yea the politician thing you mentioned, it will suck greatly if the PACT ACT passes, I live in Southern Alabama, and nobody around here sells Snus (besides the Camel).

That's all I've found here in central and north Alabama, too. It would be a damned shame that now that I've found something to replace cigarettes, I won't be able to buy it.

for some reason I never thought there were vegan punks in AL.
But I'm in the same boat as you guys, my closet place to get snus is over a hour away and all they carry is general. Hopefully soon more tobacco outlets will begin buying them (but however that would draw more attention to them which will lead to taxation).

There are several Tobacco Express stores here, and given the thousands of dollars I've spent with them over the years, surely they owe it to me to stock snus. I'm just waiting until I find out what I like so I can tell them which brands to stock.

Welcome Sundog! I believe the samplers you picked are an excellent way to begin your snus journey!

The juiciness of the original portions can be a little overwhelming at first! They gave me hiccups pretty bad when I first started.

I was a good month into snusing before I tried a white portion. Now they are a staple in my snus diet. I tend to alternate between originals, whites, and los so I don't get burned out. It's working quite well so far.
