    Rate my snus

I just ordered a "Summer Sampler" (x2) which comes with the following.

    The Summertime Snus Sampler Includes:
1 - General Wintergreen White Portion
1 - Gotlands Classic (Yellow) Portion
    1 - Jakobsson's Ice Fruit Portion
1 - Roda Lacket White Portion
    1 - Skruf Cranberry Portion

    http://www.getsnus.com/snus/index.asp?p=611&kc=SNE001

I've had the Skruf, the Jakobssons, and am particularly fond of those but have not had the other 3...

    Roda Lacket White Portion
    Gotlands Classic (Yellow) Portion
    General Wintergreen White Portion

    Are they any good???

I am relatively new to snus, but I have had a few. But I do think being an initial newby, I find most snus is very similar, in that they don't generally have a sweet, or strong flavor, but they do have a main saltiness to them.

Right now, in my mouth is Skruf Tranbar portion.
It does have some cranberry flavor, and smell, but not every strong. It's not bad.
I also have some Roda Lacket white, and that's good too, but I find it just about the same as General white portion.
I am curious about the Jacobssons Ice Fruit.
I have a Genral wintergreem white sample pack, but haven't tried it yet.

I think I prefer the white portion the most.
My next order I think will be the white portion sampler.

Gotland Yellow is one of my favorite snuses. The lös is my absolute favorite, and the portion is in my top 3.

The Gotland is quality snus, but a bit bitter, too bitter for my tastes.
I love the Roda Lacket as an occasional snus, have some in right now. I hate wintergreen anything snus.

I like them all, but I do agree with Sage as far as the bitterness of the Gotlands varieties. They tend to get bitter fairly quickly, so I spit them out quicker, which in turn means that I go through a tin faster. For those reasons, I don't order them as much as I used to.

Love the Green, though.....it's on just about every other order.

                I like all except:

                Gotlands yellow-haven't tried

Jakobssons icefruit-just don't like it, it's got a strange bitterness that just doesn't sit right with me!

I love wintergreen when I'm in a "minty" mood, and General makes the best by far!

All the Gotland snuses have that bitter note. That's what I really like about it, but I could see it not being everybody's cup of tea. If you use lös the Gotland bitterness is toned down a bit, but it's still there.

I love the Gotlandssnus bitterness, too. I love all of the varieties, the yellow being my absolute favorite. The grey and green are wonderful when I'm in the mood for something a little bit sweet. The grey and green are great because while they may be somewhat sweet, they're definitely not sugary. The anis in the grey tastes very herbal and natural and so does the elderberry in the green. True quality. I can't emphasize it enough. Gotlandssnus is one of the best manufacturers out there.

I don't like either of the Jakobssons varieties. The Classic has too much citrus for my liking. The Icefruit didn't taste good to me at all. When it came out, I was expecting Jakobssons to be a classic, straight-tobacco sort of snus. Boy were my expectations wrong.

I could not agree more! The only Gottlands I did not crave was the grey, and if you like licorice, I recommend that one too! I really like Montecristo Los, but Gottlands yellow los is better!

I just made my second order now, well, my 3rd technically, the 1st was the free can, I ordered I think in Feburary. I got the white portion sampler that has:

The Mixed White Portion Sampler Includes:
                        1 – General White Portion
1 – Skruf Original White Portion
                        1 – Ettan White Portion
                        1 – Grovsnus White Portion
1 – Roda Lacket White Portion
                        1 – Goteborgs No. 2 White Portion

I have had the Generals in a sampler, and I have a Roda Lacket now, which I like, so an extra is fine. Really interested in the Ettan, Grovesnus, and Skruf.... I think I have tried the Goteborgs, but not sure.

                        Any comments?
I hope my mystery can is portions, as I am totallt ignorant on loose usage, but then if so, it might be a learning experience.

I've had the white sampler and most of the stuff on the summer sampler. I really liked General White and Roda Laket. Grov is good if you like the unique Grov taste. I didn't care for the Skruf Cranberry but at that point I was pretty burned out on 'flavored' snus. I have yet to try Ettan White but I've heard it is fairly bland compared to others but if you're a snubie, that might be a good thing. I'm going to include it and Gott yellow on my next order....

Gott Grey is good if you like black licorice, nice natural flavor.

I've only had the Goteborgs from your list... and I like them.

PS: I think that if you have never had loose, getting it free would be the best time to get it. Am hoping for loose as my freebie. Am los curious but not so curious as to go out and buy it.

Good, but not my favorite whites. Whites are funny, already a bit mellow, so need a stronger underlying taste. I find the Skruff a bit bland, same with the Ettan.

If you are liking the whites thing, you MUST try Retro White, Camel White, and Lucky Strike White. But non available from Getsnus.
