The higher the pH level of smokeless tobacco, the faster the nicotine gets absorbed. General Ekstra Sterk has a high pH and gives you a "rush" more than Oden's and Thunder. However, the nicotine is also excreted from the body at a quicker rate if the pH is higher.

"Mellow" snus, with low pH levels are not absorbed quickly. However, the nicotine will stay in your body for a longer period of time. I prefer snus with higher pH levels. It's really a personal preference.

And I am just the opposite. Probably the reason I so quickly jumped to Thunder, having already experienced it when it was in testing, it was the first high nic, even super high nic, that has a lower PH so the nicotine ride is extremly smooth and long.

Truly my ideal snus. What I love most about snus is how level my nicotine is. The longer I can keep it in my body, the happier I am

      But that's just me.

I agree that the taste does'nt seem to change much. For me it does seem have a slightly different after taste in the background but it's not very noticable. However nic delivery does change for me. I made a 50/50 mix of the two and pris of that mix would come on quicker than oden's by itself. Later i tried a 70/30 mix and it did'nt seem to come on any different than the 50/50, go figure.
