    Thank you: I'm sleep deprived.

Duh..my bad. Of course Lorillard owns Kent...I never smoked Kent and didn't put it together until I checked their website. I'm working 24x7, getting maybe 4 hours sleep a night on a special project and blanked on it.
Thanks for clearing that issue up for everyone publicly before rumors of Triumph being up for sale start hitting the Internet: it's not.

I did have to call Lorillard anyway on another very important issue on the Triumph product to confirm or deny something I was told about Triumph that I did not want to publish without giving Lorillard the last word.

I'll be writing an article on it sometime before 5am tomorrow. I wish I didn't have to.

I did ask them a number of other questions and at their request, am putting them in writing and send them to a specific executive there. Your question was one of mine. I'll let you know when they reply.

    Sincerely,

    Mr Unz

To those of you who IMed me, sorry about missing the deadline. It really is a bombshell and despite everything I'm involved with, it's almost done and will be out tonight.

      Thanks,

Sic em Uzone! Hey maybe you can get a reply from Nordic American Smokeless or Toboca AB concerning the nicotine content of their Nordic Ice snus. I've tried emailing them but no dice, you are more persistent than I am. Not interested at all in Klondike as it is formulated to taste and be used like dip. Who wants snus that they have to spit with?

..........feels lucky that I have several old tins of Triumph snus in my freezer. :P

hasn't noticed a difference between the new and the older
triumph snus. But I never really feel/notice a nic hit with ANY snus........yet

Thankfully snus has kept me from smoking cigs for a few years now. So I know I'm getting the nicotine otherwise I'd be suckin down 2 packs of kools or camels everyday.

Klondike you have to spit? Klondike snus? I knew they were making a loose as well as portion. THAT certainly contradicts their press releases.

I've never heard of Nordic Ice snus...maybe they changed the name of the snus and made Klondike a chew....spitting?

Nordic American I was going to follow up with when my special project is done. They haven't contacted me directly but someone is leaving detailed Klondike information in different article comments sections on my blog as "Anonymous".

I do have people in Sweden I can speak to now though. I'll let you know if I find out anything.

                      Snus you have to spit?????????

                      Sincerely,

When I first started using snus, I could feel the difference between between regular and Stark but now I don't really feel it either.

Maybe the new Starks that just came out with 13, 14 and 15 mg. will make a difference.....or give us heart attacks! Either way, my order goes in tomorrow! I was doing a pack and a half of Camels until I discovered snus a little over a year ago. No cigarettes since.

                        Sincerely,

                        Mr Unz

I just came to the horrible realization that, based on what we know about "American snus", CamelSNUS is now an American Stark!

Actually in their press release (one of them anyway) they stated that the snus would indeed be a loose snus but in a format American smokeless users would be comfortable with. Technically it's snus, made with the snus process, but made to be used like American dip. Therefore it's a drier product and cut like dip making it really difficult to form a pris. It's meant to be used like dip, that means bottom lipping. The Klondike snus was always planned to appeal to American smokeless users while the Nordic Ice product is made to appeal to smokers and maybe Camel Snus users.

Hey Uzone, you seem to have had great success getting information from some of the snus manufacturers. Maybe you would have better luck with Nordic American Smokeless than I have, they have yet to respond to any of my emails. I have been trying to find out how much nicotine the Nordic Ice product has per pouch to see if it would be a viable alternative between shipments. It looks like it may be a good option for those who appreciate the Catch products. Anyway, kudos on the Triumph article.
