There's an american "snus" called Klondike, but it seems a lot more like dip. it's sold at Northerner now I think.

I don't think it matters where the plant is, it is the manufacturing process itself. Correct?

Discreet is OK, imo, for what it is, a mini portion candy snus. If that's what one likes and wants, that's great. Personally, I like a more natural tobacco, non-sweet, sometimes some flavoring if not overdone, and not sweet, or just a hint if any.
I have to tout these Tourney Snus as not bad at all. I have one in now. And the big thing about these, is they are locally available, in a popular Gas Station, and are basically a replica of standard Swedish Snus whites, I say replica as they are a little smaller, but not a mini. And they are actually made in Sweden.
I like em, and I like how they can be bought down the street.

yeah tourneys not bad. i like the blue mint ones personally (spearmint? or is that the green?) i dont live very close to a speedway but i usually buy a pack whenever im near one. my only complaint is about 3/4 of the time i get it, like 10 of the pouches are busted open and its all a huge mess in the can.

Hmm, I'm new to Tourney Snus, currently have a Blue Spearmint in right now, but this can, and a can of Red Original is all I have opened, and all the portions are in good shape than I can tell. I have an unopened Green Wintergreen can still. But I like the Reds most of the 2 I have had. But for an American brand, this IS real snus. Maybe not grade A, but still, not bad, IMO. I suspect Tourney is the same as Grand Prix with just a different name on it.

yeah as far as an american snus, its the closest ive seen. which is weird, because i wouldnt equate speedway to any sort of quality product. the original is pretty good though. i never tried the wintergreen because i for some reason associate wintergreen to stinkbug. it stems from the green mint skittles they had for a short time.

I like the Original(red) Tourney Snus most. I'm currently using the Spearmint(blue), trying to use them up, so I brought them to work by themselves. I don't hate it, but I like the Original way more. I haven't cracked open the Wintergreen yet, but a long while back I got a can of Grand Prix Wintergreen, which seems to be the same as Tourney but a different name, and if I recall, these weren't too bad.
Another positive, I find with the Tourney Snus, is the portion size, which may seem a negative at 1st, because it's smaller that a regular, but I really don't like minis, and these I think are better, because they arn't as big and fat as standard portion, but also very close in size to a standard size, and bigger than a mini. I am also glad they didn't pack these with sweetener, I have a big dislike for high sweet, and minis. That's why I didn't take to the Discreet snus. My buddy likes them though.
I still wanna try some Triumph Snus, but I read it's on the sweet side.
I wanted to add, a big part of me, like that this is available at a local gas station, and I think, even if we don't love it, find one of the 3 types one can deal with most, and buy one now and again, I say this, because this is a snus, in a local American shop, and if these things don't sell, they may drop them, and if a mail ban ever happens, you might be stuck shelling out 8 bucks at a specialty tobacco shop for an "expired" can of General. But if these Tourney Snus sells, then that might help get better brands competing, real snus brands, to edge out that Camel candy, and Tourney and Grand Prix are real snus, what I mean, is if these become better sellers, than maybe we'll see more compition, and the trend will move away from candy snus, to traditional style, and the market will be at local gas station shops, and not just the odd tobacconist.
Excuse me if I ranted some, but I think I made my point.

i smoked for about 20 years..since I was 12. stopped 3 months ago with camel frost. pretty much had to chain snus it. but i really like the whole snus concept (and breathing is so much fun). i have also enjoyed a big juicy dip of copenhagen or even grizzly in my days. i dig tobacco that tastes like tobacco.
Found Discreet snus at this little discount tobacco place for like .99 cents. Got a couple pouches of the full flavor. It tastes pretty good to me. Tastes like premium american tobacco. NO gross sweetness. Portions are tiny..At first I was kinda pissed. No nicotine at all from one portion. Then I realized they are what are called mini's ( remember I'm a noob) and decided to try two at once. Guess I am destined for the "sterks". 2 at once did the trick and rather nicely..They need a bigger portion.

I wish they'd sent me their non-flavored one. To me, they are too small, not being a mini fan, and too much candy snus. I have said many times, I wish a US company would make a real Swedish snus, and I guess Tourney gets it most right, though their portions are medium. But their stuff is made in Sweden, which is a good thing.

I actually really enjoy the Camel mellow, it kind of has that sweet chew taste, like a Levi Garret or Redman I've had back in the day. I really like the flavor.
I wonder if I can find a Swed snus similar. a semi sweet tobacco flavor is nice. I am growing to HATE the frost, taste like a pine tree air freshener after awhile, smells like pine bathroom cleaner. But I must say, I am right now really enjoying the mellow flavor.
