bonked: I absolutely love Kronan but it tends to give me an acid reflux kind of effect, so you're not alone when you refer to the burning sensation in your throat. This is especially noticable when I've slept with a portion of Kronan in. For this reason it's kind of a once-in-a-while snus for me.

If you ask me, Swedish Match has been hanging out with Phillip Morris too long.

I also agree with this statement... It's really sad that SM relies so heavily on Phillip Morris now.

If you ask me, Swedish Match has been hanging out with Phillip Morris too long. That's the same thing that they pulled with Basic. Put out a budget brand that becomes wildly popular, then jack the price up to where it's the same price as the name brand smokes. Guess what? People are just going to buy the name brand product! Your budget brand was popular because of the price. See how popular it remains when it's the same price as the rest of your line, genius.

SM's two "budget" brands were Tre Ankare and Kronan, but now they're only slightly cheaper than premium. The difference is more like .25 between Kronan and General.

Brands like Level and LD occupy "budget" status in Sweden that used to be filled by Kronan, and are much more popular there than they are here. When you have a monopoly like Swedish Match, you don't need a budget line.
On one hand he bitches that they're too much like PM.
On the other he almost defends them for acting like PM.

        Which is it?

It´s not true that Kronan is about 25 cents cheaper then General.
In the local minimart kronan costs 25-26 and General 35 for portions, thats 40%.

However I still think it´s too expensive, If I can buy Phantom or offroad for 15, the taxes are the same after all.

All the prices are for rolls which is cheaper than just 1 dosa.
But that ICA store seems pretty cheap compared to other ICA´s.
              Haven´t been to one lately.

In comparison it would seem that Kronan is about the same price but General. Grov etc. is a lot cheaper in the ICA store.

So it seems the minimart jacks up the price on popular brands but keeps them lower on the so called former budget snus.

You can´t put a general price on ICA cause they are all owned individually, I dont know if they have some deal with snusdistributors to keep the same price, but I´m pretty sure the bigger ones have it cheaper and smaller ones have it more expensively.

At first I thought it was a normal store, but they seem to specialize on mailorders aswell.

You can buy a roll (stock ) of knox portion for 116 SEK, that seems pretty cheap, maybe a new distributor for you guys?

Ah nevermind the postage seems to kill it off.
