Tranbar turned on me?

I just had a Skruf Tranbar portion in and it tasted awful...

Had a bitter, detergent-like flavor and nothing like cranberry. I don't get it. I loved this stuff when I first used it, and now it tastes like crap. I've kept it refrigerated, not sitting out, etc....

Did I just get a bad portion, or what?

Had to spit it out and replace it with and Ettan White...

First, try another one.

But second, absolutely possible it turned on you. Snus just seems to do that sometimes, has happened to me numerous times my first year of using snus.


Why I so consistently advise new folks not to overuse any snus, no matter how much you love it. Not everyone, but so many who have used a snus too much eventually come to either hate it or really not tolerate it well. And the change is usually sudden.


But give it another try n a few days. Maybe it was just that one.

Spitting out a Tranbar for an Ettan White? That's like trading 1 turd for another :lol: .

Call me a turd-eater then, I love the Ettan White portion. :lol: Clean, neutral tobacco taste.

The Ettan Lös will probably blow it out of the water when I get to opening the can (it was my "mystery can" from getsnus), but the white portion offers me a nice option for work - lössnus isn't really convenient in an office environment, although I frequently enjoy my Skruf Sterk at home.

The Skruf Tranbar didn't agree with me. It had a nice berry flavor, but it always tasted bitter as hell. I'm sure it was just a mental thing, but I would feel like I was going to get ill when I'd have one in. I'm keeping the can in the freezer and I'm just going to give it time before I try it again.

Windex?

Sometimes with the Cranberry I get a whiff and hint of taste like Windex (or ammonia). Stays refrigerated too.

I like the Skruf cranberry a lot more than Offroad cranberry portions. Can't say ive ever sniffed either one of them. Offroad cran loose is better than the Skruf portions.

Mmm, must order more Offroad Cranberry. I started snusing completely on Skruf Tranbar.. and after two rolls, it completely turned on me. Couldn't do any more for months. It'll come back around..
