sweet tasting general extra sterk???

I have a can of general extra sterks and mid-way through it the portions started tasting sweet. This is really weird. Has anyone ever snussed sweet GES???

Very odd. GES Portions have the most bitter, caustic flavor ever! Hell, I used to use them exclusively. After a while, the bitterness became too overwhelming and repetitive.

On to the sweet flavor; perhaps a worker spilled a can of Diet Coke on the assembly line by accident?!

I have never had the portions, but I'm a GES los fiend, and there's no sweetness there.

That's the first time I've heard anything like that! But, there must have been some kind of slip up somewhere down the line!

IDK man. Does it taste like it might be bad? It's your call' if you feel in the least bit nervous about it, I'd trash it. Not worth getting sick over. Then again, depending on how much you've been using Swedisg snus, you're body might have gotten used to the salt content and it just tastes "different" to you. Like I said it's your call. If it tastes like it might be bad, 86 it. Better to waste $3 bucks than get sick! 8)

It's not impossible that another snus ended up in the can. It's just weird that it wasn't the whole can. If it tastes good keep on truckin', however if it doesn't appeal to ya chunk it!

NO!!!! Don't throw it out. It is supposed to taste like that. Seriously, in my mind it tastes like N&J mixed with General. I am guessing it is the salmiak and licorice that they add that gives it the sweet taste.

The sweet element is one of the nice twists on the General flavour that I really enjoy.

So definitely positively absolutely do not throw it away.

When I first tried the stuff, I thought it had a peppery taste to it. It took me halfway into my 2nd can of it before I started tasting the citrus. Another guy at work that tried it also tasted heavy pepper upon first trying it.

I don't know if that was only us, but maybe it's you becoming used to the flavor?

I am starting to realise how much tastes differ. I've never tasted anything bitter with GES. But then again I don't taste the bitterness in Skruf or Gotlands that loads of people make reference to?

I am starting to wonder if there is a difference between European and US tastes? Or perhaps its just the fact that I don't notice the bitter taste as much given my love for dark chocolate/black coffee etc

Guess that is the great thing about snus - everyone discovers the flavour profiles they enjoy...

I ordered my first can of General ES last week. I haven't noticed a sweetness, but I've noticed that the flavor seems to get sharper the more I use it.

Everytime I have a Grov Svart Black it messes up the flavor of whatever I have after it.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I definitely taste the sweetness you describe. Recently I have been switching off Skruf Stark and GES every other tin and I notice that GES does have a sweeter taste. I quite enjoy the flavor personally, and plan on ordering a couple more rolls. I may stick to GES all together and have a skruf every month or so to change it up.
