Like you have to ask?? Just order the sampler from Toque. Best place for a snuff newbie to start

Holy shit, toast and marmalade flavor? This is quiet obviousely out of my leage. I think i'll go wtih some of that honey & wiskey flavor.
I just finally got the Toast and Marmalade. Tasty, but I think an advanced snuff. It is REALLY fine and dry, quite difficlt to not pull it in too far.

Honey and Whiskey was my first, and still favorite!!!

This is why I was never into smoking cigarettes, nothign attractive to me.

Your right about the buzz though, sometimes its too much. Its hard to find that middle point.
A pipe was the first thing I smoked regularly. I had cigarettes before, but a pipe was the first "habit". My first real job was in food service, which made a pipe impractical. That's when I went to cigarettes full time.

I like cigarette flavor also. I was using them for over a year before I started inhaling. I think I started inhaling due to the interesting feel it made going into my lungs. That was probably the worst decision I made in my use of tobacco :^/

What do I mean when I say feel nothing. I mean that I never again want to feel that "need" for nicotine creep up on me again. I hated the yo-yo effects of smoking. That flash of nicotine that would then rush out of my system so 30 minutes later, I just HAVE to have a cigarette again. I don't like that feeling. Snus just takes care of my needs so I literally, never have to think about it again.

Honestly folks, if you want a buzz, smoke a joint. The "buzz" if it could be called that was so weak that to chase that in my opinion is idiotic. I'm honest about it.. I use nicotine because I am dependent on it. My body craves it and I need it to stay level daily.

Spot on guys, spot on. I too am not looking to get stoned or buzzed. For me snus is a form of self medication (ADD) and one that I really enjoy.

sgreger1, I’m still not sure what the issue is. I don’t mean that in a bad sense like “you big dumb ass fall in line with the rest of us”. I mean I think there is something in your dilemma that I am just not seeing. From what you have said snus has lost a little something for you. I guess my main question is what exactly is that something if it’s not the buzz or the novelty of a new product to try. What do you wish you could get back?

Now as far as snuff goes let me just say Toasts and Marmalade is absolutely fantastic. I hate the orange scent Toque uses, I hate the fineness of the grind, I even hate the name--- but put it all together and I cannot get enough of the stuff. It is superb. Now the kick is rather strong so it is my go to when I’m drinking. Normally, Whiskey and Honey, High Dry Toast, Blue Crest, or an American sweet from the basic component of my everyday use.

Evenings are Old Paris, Klostermischung, or F&T Kendal Brown

But then again, nobody asked all for all this extra info. So off I go

the only time i really buzz off a snus, like a cigarette type rush, is if i pack a fat wad of los or a sterk portion. besides that, all i get from regular portions is a calming effect, like packaged stress relief.
I guess you could say it's self medication. I'm a college kid who is working his way through school, spending most of his hours during the school year studying or working. Life seems to suck at that point, but the best companion to see one through those times is gentle snus. i hope THAT feeling never goes away.

thought i'd also share my similar experience with caffeine. I used to get wired as hell off of a cup of coffee. while i was in ROTC in high school and getting up at five every morning, i started drinking at least two cups to get me awake. now it's just something i use level me out. it's impossible for me to get wired off caffeine now, but i still love it and dose myself up with it every day. why should should snus, or any tobacco for that matter, be any different?

To me Old Paris is a deep rich snuff (verses a perfume floral like a Kendal Brown) that is in the same family taste-wise as a Schmalzler. The Schmalzler seems a tad bit sweeter and a little heavier. The grind for Old Paris is just a tad bit courser than F&T’s Kendal Brown and the color just a tad bit darker. The nic seems to be medium

I really like it as an evening snuff- a little sweet, very mellow, just nice.

                  Hope this helps

                    Yeah, it really sounds interesting.

Next snuff order, but that probably won't be for 3 -4 months.

Nicotine won't give you a buzz once your brain creates more dopamine receptors to compensate for the drug. When you become abstinent from nicotine for a period of time, your brain will re-regulate itself to the state before it was addicted to nicotine. The only way to get a buzz is to abstain for a good period of time. However, all the withdrawal isn't worth a 30 second buzz!
