I am not sure what makes you that Swedish Snus is healthier than American Camel Snus. The ingredients for American Camel are listed here:

If you like Camel Snus and can't stand the salt in the Swedish snus just double up on the Camel if you need more nicotine.

        1. Swedish Snus is regulated by the Swedish FDA as a food product and held to high standards, i.e. GothiaTek. As of current, American "snus" isn't held to any standard.

        2. We know how Swedish Snus is made - from the seed to the can. Some of us have been in the factories. American "snus" production methods are a mystery and they are very closed off about these methods. That big unknown is a HUGE reason not to trust American "snus".

          That's not what you meant?...

Oh yeah... American Snus is just sickly sweet and might last for MAYBE 30 minutes of no nicotine or enjoyment.
Swedish Snus, once the satly flavor has been acquired by your tastes will have a great effect and last up to 2 hours, sometimes more.
For starters I would suggest some mints as previously stated. I started on General Mint. There are other good mints on the market now. Nick and Johnny crushed ice, jakobssons mint, thunder frosted, catch pure mint...
Another good one to start with is catch eucalyptus, and jakobssons icefruit.
Once you get a little more used to the salt you will be able to step it up to different flavors and your tastes will develop.

If you have been smoking your tastes buds will be wrecked anyways and eventually (slowly) you will relearn the tastes of many things... In not only snus, but in foods and drinks alike.

Everyone's pretty much covered it, but I'll add a welcome to SnusOn!

You'll get used to it. At this Point I absolutely couldn't do without the salt. It just brings out the complex flavors in the snus, and I love it always being there lingering in the background. And im not the type that uses, or cares for salt much.

Gothiatek is a registered trademark of Swedish Match, right?

According to the link below their flagship General Snus has more TSNAs by weight than Camel and more than any flavor of Marlboro Snus other than mint.

                  http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/arti...2835/table/T1/

I would gladly switch to Camel or Marlboro if they made something with a decent punch that tasted good and had similar TSNA numbers.

For some reason I don't believe those numbers... It's showing Camel with a free nicotine level almost on par with general? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

The numbers are by weight, and as I recall the Camel pouches are small and light, so it could be possible.

What do they mean by natural and artificial flavors? Couldnt that be anything?

Internope is right gothiatek standards are swedish match standards, and remember swedish match claims v2 snus will kill us all. as Fbandersnatch (I think that was ihis handle) once said "it's oral tobacco you put it in your face, that is all", I'm paraphrasing here but you get the point. Copenhagens ingredients were listed on the can when I started on that stuff, and I still love it, but xperience tells me after three years of snus tthat it is better for my gums. To each their own man, if you like Camel snus use camel snus, as for myself, I won't touch the shit. it tastes bad (to me) it is not cost effective, and it delivers little to no nicotine.......... where is Banderssnatch anyway??????
