    Next Up??

I've gone through two tins of Ettan (purchased outside of the try-out pack) and one tin of Goteborg's Prima Fint from my try-out pack from Northerner. So far, I've loved both. I liked the texture and moistness of the Prima Fint. I liked the Ettan too but I found it to be much less moist than the Prima Fint. I'm finding I really like the finer ground snus. I used to be strictly a Cope man and have been taken in by snus. What should I crack open next???

Here are the remaining choices from my stash (all loose):

    Ettan
    General
    Grov Snus
    Roda Lacket
    Kronan
    Probe Whiskey
    Goteborg's Rape'

    Any suggestions?? :?:

If you like fine-ground and moist, try the Roda Lacket.

How does Ettan and Gotebors Prima Fint compare to General, Grov Snus, et al?

I would give the Grov a try, very natural flavor ala the Ettan, and fairly course. I don't really care for General, it's kind of the Marlboro Lights of the snus world. All I mean is that it is super popular, and I can't really figure out why.

Coffey, before the Skruf Starks and N&Js of this world started appearing there wasn't much that was stronger than General. I think General was just "IT". The taste people always seem to go back to every time.
So do I, I mean, I love many snuses but General will always be home base no matter how many innings I go.

As far as PseudoSwede's question: GPF is -along with Röda Lacket- the most finely ground and moist snuses around. General is same coarseness but more moist than Ettan. Grov I haven't tried yet but "grov" means coarse in Swedish

Thanks for the info Craig. Don't get me wrong, I don't think General is bad, it just doesn't do it for me. Kind of like how a lot of people on the forum don't understand how we can enjoy Offroad loose. Maybe it's because I never even tried General till I had found several other favorites. And yes, I should have said that the texture of Prima Fint is much different than that of Grov. Prima Fint is way too muddy for my taste.

'Zactly! I've likened GPF and RL to Play-Doh before. RL especially is big on taste but mild on nic. GPF tilts both a bit more to the opposite side.

If this is true, I strongly suggest trying the General as soon as possible. The first can I opened was N&J, followed by the General. I didn't think I liked the General much at all until I got about a quarter of a way into the can. It's actually a very nice snus. If you like Earl Grey tea, you will like General. And they go great together. (thanks for the connection Zero.)

Maybe I misspoke, I have tried General, But it was not till months after I had started using snus, and had already found several I liked better.

Ahh, understood. The ol' gray matter isn't quite up to par tonight  I agree with Think PseudoSwede , don't ruin yourself to what may be a favorite snus for you.

                        Thanks, Guys!

I'm probably going to go with either General or RL...for the next tin.

However, I will crack them all at some point. I'm going to pick two or three of my favorites and by a log (ooops, sorry, that's Cope-speak), a roll so I never have to worry about running out.

Thanks for all the advice. Keep feeding us SNUBies all the information you can!! It's very much appreciated...

                        Jeff

Call it log or roll...it's all good.

                            Yes, Craig...

It is all good. I wish I would have bumped into snus 20 years ago. But, on the bright side, I'll have it now for the rest of my days!

^I got lucky. I'm only 19 and I've dropped the cigarettes and found the snus. And with any luck, I'll have it for the rest of my many days.
