    Montecristo VS Romeo y Julieta

Battle of the only "cuban" brands.

What makes these brands cuban anyways? I want proof

Vote, i strongly preferred montecristo. Neither felt worth the premium price the Northerner charges for both. Only through one tin of each, the romeo tasted a bit too 'black licorice' I would buy it again though on occasion.

          Neither :-)

I prefer Gotlands Gul to Montecristo and Gotlands Grey to R&J. Don't know why but I just do.

IMO the R&J and Montecristo are too dissimilar to be compared to each other as they belong to very different flavour profiles - citrus/bergamot vs. anis/licorice

Montecristo for me. There is something about that strong tobacco taste I really enjoy, but that being said I think that for the money and hassle that I would rather have Gottlands Gul, 95% match in taste for me. Romeo & Julieta was a non starter for me, yuck.

I really like them both, but MC definitely wins. The los is fantastic.
