Very interesting stuff.

A complex mix of vanilla, tobacco, and a leathery finish.

I do tire of it after a few portions.

Nothing has topped Lucky Strike and General Original portion for me yet. Onyx comes in a close third (it would be higher if the portion wasn't so damn uncomfortable!).

I recently returned to this. Like most, I loved the first one, but flavor really too strong for every day use. A lot like Onyx that way.

So after not having it at all for three months, I threw one in my latest sterk order. Right now, my snus use is highly regulated. I use one can of Oden's Kanel, then a non Odens, then back again. So needed 10 sterks to match up with the roll of Odens I bought. Through the black in, and absolutely LOVED it when I had it. Using for 3 days not a problem!! Any more, maybe. So I will get another can when i reorder ion a month or so.

I was disappointed with the taste. But then again I just figured it was a stronger version with no extra stuff. I'm still getting used to the strong's and figured "Hey grov has a strong version I'm all over that!" nahhhh.

Anyone know if there is an Ettan Strong out yet?

This is one of my top 3 and I've never tired of it since my first taste (as my empty cans will attest - it's the one I've used the most of overall).

Onyx, for me, is a bit on the rich side so I wouldn't have more than one a day, this one not more than two perhaps (out of ~six in total) and any old white (like LS or Camel (JTI)) no limit but then I switch between those frequently still looking for "the one". Ettan white and Retro white are next on the list to try.

I love the flavor of Grov Svart. Whatever flavorings they are using, they nailed it on the head. Grov Svart + Coffe = heaven.

Grov Svart is like heaven on earth, but not every day. I like it when I can sit, relax and enjoy the fine flavors. I like it with a cup of strong coffee, just sipping and enjoying.

Only two, that's crisis point!

I actually have unopened cans (one each) of Grov Svart, General Onyx & General Sterk buried deep in the freezer as never to be touched except in emergencies. Should imports become a problem or some other reason, this is enough to last me a fortnight.

Grov Svart is Magically Delicious.

I love it, but it is strongly flavored and is a bit of an N-Bomb. Definitely a snus to savor.

Grov Svart is a very interesting snus IMO. I don't use many portions, but this is a good one for me.

I'm sold on Grov Black, and leathery was the word I had been looking for!

Definitely a kicking back snus with a dark coffee. Dark earthy taste mellowed out by spicy overtones and maybe salmiak or something?
