    Gotlandssnus yellow los

I love the portions, it is probably one of the best tasting snuses I have tried... it has a mild chamolile, lemon peppery flavor that I love... and through it all I can still taste the tobacco through the entire portion. I can't say enough about this stuff.

Well on my current order I purchased a can of the los, just wondering what I can expect? How's the grind? How is the flavor compaired to the portions?

The grind used to be quite coarse but a while ago they made it finer to make it easier to bake.

As for taste - and remember this is from someone who LOVES the portions - it is similar to the portions but better. Hard to believe but true.

The citrus, rose and maple flavours are all more pronounced. Nothing overbearing though. Just that special Gotlands flavour that makes me crave it all the time.....

    You will not be disappointed.

KarlvB is right on. Gotland Gul lös is my absolute favorite snus. I'd say the biggest difference between the portion and lös is the portion seem to favor the evergreen notes, while the lös is more dominant on the citrus. You can tell they're the same snus, but you could use 1 right after the other and not feel like you were using the same snus twice.

I use mostly lös, but I'll always have Gotland portions as I like them very much, and they're different enough to not be redundant.

I am excited to try it... now if they'd only make the flader in los I would be set. I should have it monday, I will let you know how it goes.

So I recieved my usual order, but to my disappointment I was shipped the portions, instead of los from getsnus.com... I emailed them, and after a quick reply they had a can of los in the mail.. they told me to keep the portions. The people at getsnus.com are great, always great service, fast shipping... and a quick fix to an honest mistake.

I recieved the los today, ripped the package open with my prismaster in hand. It's not the freshest can, but WOW this stuff smells so good to me. It reminds me of my mom's lemon poppy muffins, with a nice peppery undertone and a high quality tobacco smell. The flavor in this stuff smells natural, and not overpowering at all... so far my favorite smelling snus.

The grind seems to be very fine, and I can imagine it would be a little harder to bake... but no issues with the prismaster. I filled it up loosely (i get more flavor and drip..) and popped it in. The flavor came on slow, and immediately I decided I like portions more, but I decided to give it fair chance before passing judgement. I have had the pris in for more than 30min. now and it is exploding with flavor. The pris is holding together fine, and I am getting a nice drip. It taste like heaven... the lemony pepper taste is much stronger than that of the portions. I am craving some of those lemon poppymuffins now. The nic hit was hard... I use ES los in the morning on an empty stomach and have never had any issues... this upset my stomach a little, but nothing I couldn't handle.

This is a must try, if you liked the portions you will love the los. If you have tried neither, give it a shot... you won't be disappointed. I am a big fan of Got snus, and I have a feeling this one is going to be a regular for me.

40mins now and its just starting to mud up on me a little... a success in my book as its still going strong. I will pack it a little tighter next time.

OK there is one in every crowd and I guess it’s my turn to be it. So here goes the blasphemy:

Gotlands yellow los was one that turned on me. About six months ago it was one of my favorites (if not my absolute favorite). And then all of a sudden the bitterness just got to me. I still consider it an outstanding and high quality snus and for the first two or three prises, it’s really good. After that I labor to get through the tin. Still, if you have not tried it, I recommend you add a can or two to your next order.

I haven't tired of it yet. I *really* wish they'd go back to the coarser grind though. I much prefer it over the fine, even though it was a real bitch to handbake.

You know lxskllr funny you should mention that-

It was about the time they changed the grind (or at least about the time I received my first role with the new grind) that I began to notice a change in my preference. I don’t remember it being so bitter before. Now it could very well just be me but it tastes like I went from eating oranges to eating orange peels- same basic flavor but much more bitter
