The portion material on some of the "budget" brands starts to taste like cardboard to me...

Always swallowed. Skruf can burn my throat a bit, but i sort of like it. A drink can help.

I used to get heartburn before I started snusing. Now rarely if at all.

I haven't had an antacid since starting snus and I used to go through, not lots, but maybe a few a week.

I have woken up in the middle of the night twice however convinced that I've forgotten to take a portion out and have swallowed it. Then I realise that I never have one in whilst in bed and go back to sleep. It's not a nice feeling.

I slept with one in my mouth one time and it was on the pillow when I woke up.

I always swallow the juices. It's one of the reasons I like snus - ya don't hafta spit.

OK I feel as though I should post this for the benefit of anyone who finds themselves spitting. I used to have a problem with spitting when I first started, and I continue to spit every now and then when I feel I need to. It all depends, seemingly, on how hydrated I feel at the time. For what it's worth, I drink water all day long so I'm pretty hydrated until I start in with the beer in the evening. And, above all, I think it has to do with both personal preference and the physiology of the individual.

Los pretty much never makes me feel the need to spit. I could have a prilla in anytime and not worry about it. Portions, it varies. As we all know some run more than others. Personally, I find it pretty uncomfortable to sit there and swallow excessive juice without a beverage. Something to water down the juice and help it go down. Like riding my scooter for example. My face mask on my helmet compresses the snus against my gums, makes it run more, and it treats me wrong to just sit and swallow it. UNLESS, my mouth is already dry, then my lip soaks it up, so to speak. It all depends on how my body reacts to the snus. To end this rambling, I personally require a beverage if I'm not going to spit, unless it's los, but I still vastly prefer a drink with it. If I don't have a beverage, I usually prefer to spit a little and not give myself heartburn or discomfort. That's just me though, I'm in the minority. The point is, do what's comfortable. We can all enjoy snus in our own way. No one is doing it wrong. If anyone is curious (tom), I place it near the front, slightly to the side, and I've been enjoying snus for about 15 months.

I never spit unless I'm using longcut. Like all other snus, you don't have to spit but the bits eventually migrate around to where it's more comfortable to.

But then, it's pretty much the same consistency as dip, and I never was much of a dipper, so....

I didn't mean to imply anyone was doing it "wrong", just that when I started, I was getting a LOT of juice, and I'd feel ill if I didn't spit, and I even needed a spit can. I just knew there must be a better way, and then when I put my portion in the center section of my mouth, I have never needed to spit anymore, and don't even need a drink. I have a double barrel in now of Tourney Original, one on each side of the little skin thingy, no drink, and no need or desire to spit, and no excess juice.

Yeah, I guess that wraps up my feelings on the matter at this point.. I started swallowing the juice, but I always like to have some kind of drink to sip on if possible. When there is too much juice I end up spitting a lot. I guess it depends on how strong the flavor is, and where I put it in my mouth (usually far back on the sides, as not to irritate the gum line in the very front)..

I always swallow, but it does make me somewhat queasy after a time as I generate a lot of saliva (yes, even when placed right on the front upper lip).

It's okay, it's worth it. Tasty swedish snus juice is a delicacy.

Of course, I also accidentally swallowed an entire Thunder extra stark portion because I left it in while sleeping. That didn't go so well.
