    what's the deal with bergamot?

as of this writing, i have tried every flavor of snus on buysnus, getsnus, northerner, and some of the other little shops that have different items. the only snus i really can't get into is the ones that reviewers say "oh it has a hint of bergamot" or "strong bergamot taste". why does almost EVERY snus have to have an overbearing taste of bergamot? i guess my taste isn't refined, haha. i have about 10-15 snus cans that i like that don't have it, but i'm curious why it's in almost every type of snus. hmmm....

I don't know but I like it. When I'm out of snus I just pop a bag of Earl Grey under my lip.

Bergamot is the classic snus flavor, the same way molasses would be for American leaf chew. Anything that isn't bergamot could be considered non standard. Personally I love the flavor.

Bergamot is also used alot in nasal snuffs, it's the main thing in snuffs called SP.

I love bergamot. Skruf and Toque Original is great together.

haha, guess I'm the only one who doesn't like it. I like Ettan, I think because there isn't an overpowering flavor. I guess I'm not a bergamot kinda guy.

How is that word pronounced by the way?

I am thinking it is BER-GUH-MOH, or is it BER-GUH-MOTT?

You're second version is correct wit the "T" pronounced. I guess to get nitpicky, the middle should be more of a short "a" than a "uh", but that's splitting hairs.

Yea because the rest of the world isn’t laughing at us already because of our pronunciation of “snus”

Is Bergamot that flavor i taste prominently in Goat Rape #2? I always assumed that's what it was and I HATE that stuff. I avoid any snus now that says bergamot flavor at all.

If it tastes like gin, then no- that’s juniper berries.

If it taste like earl grey tea then yes- that’s Bergamot

I know it's not Juniper if that tastes like gin. Gin tastes like pine needles, heh.

                              It tastes really flowery/perfumey/berry-like almost.

EDIT: Now that I look up the description, perhaps it's the Lingon Berry?
