Exploding Snus?

So, I was working outside over the weekend and it was about mid-high 90s. Too hot to even enjoy any snus, so I just kept the General WG can in my pocket and finished working. I'm guessing I spent about 9 hours or more in the blistering sun. So anyay I finish up and go inside to relax and pop a pouch in---when to my dismay I open the can and it looks like coffee grinds everywhere!!

I'm guessing it was the heat, but has anyone had this happen before? Unfortunately, I only used about 6-7 pouches out of that can before it self destructed! :cry:

I haven't, but have read that the glue has come off the wintergreen portions. My guess is the heat could have done that. Maybe you could empty the baggies and turn it into los.

And I have been walking at least 4 miles in 95 -100 degree temps last week on multiple ocassions. Then again, I have never used wintergreen (bleech) :wink:

The wintergreen doesn't hold together very well. I've never had a whole can explode though. Usually they fall apart after 45 mins. of use.

I read in the "Talk With Pros" section that the issue with the snus pouches happened with all the brands. I suspect that since the Wintergreen was for the U.S. only that there was a lower volume in sales, and the problem continues to linger. The one can I tried several months ago had portions coming apart too...

I have actually had this happen to a friend before, and he emailed General, and they sent another can in the mail for free. It was great customer service. General WG has a rep for not holding together.

Get an icetool and you'll be able to use it..........bit of an expensive solution I know lol.

hey joe, i live somewhat near you (central nj) and experienced the heat as well on saturday and only had 2 snus's (general wintergreen) break on me! The sun is our enemy!

Ok, now I'm PISSED! Yet another can has gone on me! I pop a pouch in and the ends open up :cry:

I guess this means today will be a Camel Frost day :?
