My whole thing has been to help x-dippers acclimate to snus in much the way you have helped so many smokers. At the same time, I also encourage those who have never tried los to give it a fair shake- much like we do with newbies (don’t let this or that aspect throw you, give it time, try a variety).

I think everyone here would agree that you have given los a more than a fair shot. I think for all the very legitimate reasons you have listed, it is not for you. Portions work best for you. That is your gig. You have found your snus grove. My advice would be to care less about becoming comfotable with los. Who cares?!!! You snus. End of story.

So in the words of the venerable sagedil, “Don’t stress about it. Do what feels right”

And I know you are not stressing- but at least for now I don’t really think that attempt 4 or 405 at los is going to tell you anything you don’t already know. I just don't see any reason to force it. If one day you want some los, dust off the Ice tool and go for it. If not, grab the Retro white and don't look back.

Peace bro and all my respect
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

      Thank you my friend.

As have posted numerous times, I only get cranky and become a pain when the love for los crosses a line and starts becoming, "I am better at snus than you cause I use los". I think that is incredibly destructive, especially for new folks who really don't know better. There is enough enthusiasm for los here that I quite enjoy my contrarian role, and want to be an example for younger users that it really is OK to just like portions.

But no, I will keep making more attempts cause I know enough folks who came to like los only with much time using. So on the "chance" that I might come to like it, I have to keep trying. Besides, I think my attempts are useful for other folks gong through the same thoughts.

But I agree, in the end, it is all good. Each of us is so unique in our love for snus, what works for one often doesn't work for someone else.

Snus on I say, snus on.

I started out with los. I liked it, hell I even liked the OR wintergreen. I have moved away from los because it is messy and I don't keep it in as long. I think los has its place, but portion snus is more convenient and I can get the last drop of flavor out of it compared to los. I suppose you can do that with los as well, but you would have to eat it. The only los I like now is Probe. I know many people hate it. I have been trying to use up my los that I have acquired since I started using snus (a month of two to three year old los snus!!!). It has not been pretty. I am down to my last two cans, Level and Probe. It is time for my next order and there will probably be two rolls of portions and 4 cans of los.

If I get a good non falling apart and comfortable pris, I think los is great. Yeah, you can't mess with it too much, as it will fall apart. But if it's in good, you can squeeze your gum some, and it still won't fall apart. I have a good pris in now, but I spit out 2 earlier, cuz it was either falling apart or uncomfortable. I like los if it's all worked out good, but overall, it's more a hassle than portions, which I prefer. But, this may be I am still rather newbie with it all.

General los and Ettan los are two of the most amazing things ever produced.
I still have to use portions at work...and I've been strictly using General White.
