Just tried Discreet

Strawberry is equally as good as peach. I don't have a sweet tooth but I have to admit these are real good. Not too sugary, but sweet and boy, does the flavor linger.

Has anyone tried Discreet Full Flavor? I didn't receive this with my free sample and I'm interested in hearing any opinions on it.

I left all my Discreet at work yesterday. And with my motorcycle down, I am walking like 4 miles each way to work, 94 degrees today. The entire walk I was thinking about the strawberry Discreet I would pop in once I got here!!

I am thinking Discreet must be adding something to this snus to make it so addictive! :wink:

Haven't tried the mint yet and wasn't too keen on the full flavor on the first try. I'll go back and attempt it at another time.

Allright, I tried the Strawberry. I tastes really good...if you like strawberry. I'm not a fan. The taste is spot on for the flavor though, so if you like Strawberry, pick it up.

While the Strawberry, Peach and mint flavors are all good, Full Flavor is my favorite. But it seems that some other users in this thread and others don't agree lol. I really like it because it captures the smell of American scotch nasal snuff in a snus, which I love. It has an old-fashioned, smokey scotch flavor that reminds me of smelling my grandfather's snuff when I was a kid. Maybe that is also what drew me towards W.E. Garrett and Son scotch nasal snuff when I first tried it.

In summary, I think it is excellent, but people's opinions seem to vary.

No, I just didn't get it as part of my samples. I got Strawberry, Peach, Emerald ice, and Cool Mint. As I really don't care for mint snus, the last two will be saved to give away to folks.

But I promise Full Flavor is absolutely on my list when I order for myself. Your description makes it sound like i would love it..

Edit - totally unrelated...but this really is disturbing to me given how aggressive the anti tobacco fascists are trying to link snus with kids. Was just wandering the net and found this place to buy it from.

I just got the Discreet Full Flavor pack I ordered from GetSnus (along with yet another mystery can of Ettan - I have four Ettan White and three Grov White if anyone wants to talk swap ;-). I have to say I do like the Discreet Full Flavor, but I'm not in love with it.

It is sweet, and has some really nice flavors, but there's just something in there that vaguely reminds me of the Camel SNUS. Not sure what. Maybe they use the same sweetener. But I'm pretty sure I can tell a difference from the Swedish in the quality of the tobacco. Not enough to be a stopper, though.

It's a little more tightly packed - harder - than I like, but it's a mini, and there's a lot more room in my lip than there was last time I was using minis - so it was fine. It really did give me a feeling of having a slightly strange hard candy in my mouth :-)

The flavor faded rather quickly in about 20-25 minutes. But the packet said 30 minutes, so close enough. I'll call it "as advertised." I didn't notice the nicotine being particularly low, but I'm so full of nicotine on a constant basis that I may be the last to notice. I'm willing to believe that it's pretty high for a mini.

I've been chaining nothing but General White, Sterk and Onyx for months now, and it's probably not fair to pop a pouch of Discreet and then get hinky about the quality. If I was still just coming off SNUS, or trying to avoid it entirely, Discreet would be the ticket.

The zip-lock bag is brilliant. That means - despite any misgivings I might have about the quality - these go right in my emergency stash in my messenger bag next to the General sample packets. Discreet will certainly do just fine if I ever walk out of the house with out my regular tins.

All that said, I'm going to order a pack of the strawberry tomorrow, with my 5 pack of Onyx. The Full Flavour was so close - maybe the strawberry will pull me over the fence.

I think I'll try to get the wife to try one. :-)

I didn't get the full flavor in my sample either. I got the ones Sage named, and also pear, apple, and juicy orange. Orange is amazing. Please Tom make that an official flavor!!

Man, those sound really nice. I wish I had gotten a sampler :cry: I just bought mine from getsnus.com.

The only thing I would suggest to them as far as new flavors go would be to not forsake traditional non-fruit flavors. I bet they could do quite well with a deep amaretto, with a pipe-tobacco richness and Bergamot (like traditional Swedish snus). Ok, so maybe those are both related to fruit flavors, but they are more traditional than a standard fruit flavor. But don't get me wrong, in my opinion they are getting fruit flavors better than anyone else (including in Sweden).

Agreed. I was just thinking today how happy I was finally to find a really yummy flavored snus. When I first started years ago, I alternated between a flavored and non flavored snus all day. But the Swedish flavored snus just really started to lose it's appeal to me, and eventually, started using just mostly unflavored.

So really happy to have strong, yummy, sweet flavored for when I am in the mood. But honestly, doubt I would buy a non flavored Discreet. then it just becomes another mini, I have my Swedish that well takes care of all my non flavored needs. Not sure what Discreet could bring to that genre that would add anything.

I want orange and peach too. How you get those??? Tom just e-mailed me to make sure I got my samples and see how I liked them (told him I haad turned into a total Discreet pimp of course), do I need to send him another e-mail begging for some of those too?? Are they gonna sell those???

No, I objected to you pushing flavored snus on new people in a misguided belief that new people would only prefer flavored snus. And having been here for almost 2 years (see post count :wink: ), I am rather well versed in what new folks typically like and don't like and believed, and still believe, that your recommendations really weren't what most people end up using.

Yeah, some new folks do like flavored snus. But most jump right in to everything, as I had done 2 1/2 years ago. I just feel that something like Northerner's Top 10 box is a much better recommendation for someone brand new.

Perhaps it is my own biases, as Camel did not exist when frst started using snus. but I think adding something like Discreet is better long after someone has already acclimated to Swedish snus. Get a newbie hooked on Discreet, I'm not sure they could make the transition to the broader world of Swedish snus as easily.

So yes, i like *some* flavored snus, and I love Discreet. Still, I don't think recommending only sweet snus is a good idea for someone brand new.
