Just tried Discreet

The strawberry is absolutely, unbelievably good! Peach is perfect with iced tea and just makes me feel like summer time. I would really love to get my hands on some pear if Tom makes it official.

Sage the peach is in a permanent package so it's probably for sale. The apple, orange and pear are still being test marketed I think. How I got them was a started a thread about anybody know of an orange flavored snus. Tom Pmed me asking for my address to send me some samples. Didn't say what they were, just Discreet. So they show up in my mail. That's all I know! I tried the pear last night, but I'm not ready to give a review, because I was drinking beer last night, and it didn't go well with it. The beer zapped the flavor out of it, so I'll have to try it again later. Today I took a pack of cool mint with me, so I'll give my impressions on that later.

I think what I disliked most about these, other than the Full Flavor flavor, is they are minis, and I got a strong portion material taste. If these were full large size, I think I might have liked them more, even though I am not a flavored fan.

LOL, so just proof that, even with my hefty "presence' here, I really don't get much extra. Glad to see others getting a chance to try "new" flavors.

The peach and strawberry are awesome, I didnt try the emerald or cool mint yet. But, im impressed with Discreet

Emerald Ice and Juicy Pear are my favorites. They are a nice change of pace for me, but not enough to motivate me into regular use of them.

Tom is a smart, smart man. We here at snuson.com are a bit of snobs when it comes to snus - regularly talking shit on American varieties. I personally prefer Swedish varieties of snus, not the sweet stuff we produce here. But it was very much an acquired taste. It took a couple of weeks to get used to it. The typical American is too impatient to allow this amount of time, especially when they're fiending for cigs and need a quick, suitable, and satisfying replacement. Tom knows what the American market will want in terms of snus.

A couple of *male* buddies of mine prefer Discreet (at least one of them is a pretty masculine dude) over any of the Swedish stuff of mine they've tried. They both concurred that most of it was "disgusting" and "too strong." But they really dig Discreet and General mint varieties. The reality of the situation is that Americans are going to want the sweet, strong-tasting stuff. Tom's snus handles this fact nicely.

Just got my Discreet samplers from Tom (can't thank you enough for them). I received 8 packs with 2 of Peach, Strawberry, Emerald Ice, and Cool Mint.

First up, the Peach flavor. It pretty much tastes like Peach Snapple Iced Tea which I love. Just the right amount of sweetness, very natural, with a slight hint of pepper.

Next I tried the Strawberry. People here are saying how it tastes like real strawberries and that's very true. Along with the peach, the level of sweetness is just right with no obvious artificial flavoring to my buds although there was a slight bit of bitterness with the strawberry that I didn't get with the peach flavor but it didn't last long and was nothing that made me want to spit it out.

Up next were the Mini Cool Mints. They have a flavor similar General Mini Mints with perhaps a slightly stronger mint flavor and not quite as sweet as the Mini Mints.

Finally, the Emerald Ice. Flavor reminded me very much of the Extra Polar Ice gum that I usually chew with it being a little sweeter than the Mini Cool Mints.

Nicotine hit seems to be same as I get from General Mini Mints. Very mild but something is there. The Peach and Strawberry Flavors seem to last a good half hour but the Mini Cool Mints and Emerald Ice seem to fizzle out after about 15 minutes. Another thing I was pleased with was that I detected no salt at all, unlike the General Mini Mints which has a mild salty flavor as the mint flavor subsides. Pouch material was good quality and soft on the gums.

In addition to the flavors, what I love about the Disreet brand is its low cost. I like to use minis as an outdoor snus as I don't use los in public and I really don't need the nic level of a full sized portion (which are too salty and harsh for me anyways) when I'm active. They also come in handy for those times where I want a little snus just before bed or a meal and don't want to dedicate the time I usually use for los. Initially I was going to stick with General Mini Mints as my mini go to but they cost about $28 for a 10-pack from GetSnus. 10 packs of Discreet are just under $10 (GetSnus) and with the great flavors they have, I will definately be a loyal user of Discreet snus from now on.

BTW, Tom, if you're reading this and you have the time, could you shed some light on the manufacturing process of Discreet snus and what the TSNA levels are in comparison to Swedish snus?

You definitely hit on a couple of points.

I love using a Discreet when I plan on doing something soon like eating and don't want to commit to a normal portion. The Discreet says 30 minutes and I find that accurate, so it is perfect for when I won't be snusing long.

And yeah, I have been walking 4 miles to work in 92 -95 degree temps this week. I find the Discreet agrees with me more on those walks.

Thanks Sage. These Discreets are great, I can't see my fridge without them now. I had to take a trip out to Long Island today and popped in the Strawberry on the way. Really made the train ride pleasant. I see mentions of Pear and Orange flavors, I gotta try those.

Yeah, I was unprepared to fall in love so fast with these. And it really is exactly the same reason I love snuff. My normal snus usage is quite dry. Oden's kanel ES is the most flavor I usually have. And my mouth just gets a bit bored sometimes. i pop a Discreet in, and suddenly, a raging party is going for a bit.

It really becomes a total snus break experience in a way I have never found with any sweet Swedish snus

I think they hit the mark on Discreet perfectly. Just sweet enough to be fun, without going into Camel over-sweet territory.
