Not in the least from my experience. Lucky's have a bit of an odd flavor under the mountain of salt (good odd). Tourney's are just kinda salty and nothing else. Then again, I don't think the tourney sells around me so I probably always get year old cans.

I read somewher that SnusAB that makes Tourney is filing bankruptcy. I don't know what this means, and Tourney is not a great product, but it is an American brand sold at local gas stations near me, so I hope it doesn't go under, but maybe it will be an impetus to make a better product with another manufacturer?

If I could just learn to control a pris better...

Or stop caring what people think about the slight brown run in my teeth... either one. 100% Los, all the time, mofos.

Offroad Cranberry Los. A plain, ordinary can of Offroad sits before me. Nothing remarkable about it. Upon opening it, I am instantly greeted by the fresh smell of cranberries and tobacco. My mighty Prismaster packs a perfect pris. I instantly notice that this stuff is juicy. My mouth instantly waters at it, and I eagerly place the pris in my left upper lip. Just like all los, it burns for me in the beginning. But then, I find the burn is worth it, especially with this one. For all the shit that is talked on Offroad, this one disproves the naysayers for me. The taste of quality tobacco is prevalent. Underneath, slight notes of tart cranberries. Let's drop the formal "review language" for a sec - this stuff kicks major ass. Puffing my cheeks gives me a momentary burst of cranberry flavor. Not too much salt, not too much cranberry, just perfect, perfect flavor. Along with Ettan and Roda, this makes me wanna los all the time.

          Packaging: 4/10 (Who cares)
          Flavor: 10/10 (My first 10!)
          Grind: 8/10
Quality: 7/10 (Juicy high-quality snus goodness).
Potential as an everday snus: 9/10

Buy it. Even if you're a portion user.

Here goes a useless review because almost everyone in North America at least has tried this I think:

            General Wintergreen

I have never tried this until now. I've had a few sampler packs laying around, and a couple weeks ago I finally opened one, but I smelled it and immediately threw it away. I knew I didn't like wintergreen tobacco from my early experiments with Kodiak as a kid, but the portion I smelled a few weeks ago had really gone off I think.

Anyway, seeing this thread made me want to give it a real go. I knew I had some samples from Getsnus in the fridge, and I was dreaming about wintergreen snus last night for some reason, so here it goes:

Wow SM really marketed this one to us norte americanos didn't they? It might be the sweetest snus I've ever had, but I've never tried any American snus before (I realize this is not stricly "American", please correct me if I'm wrong). All I get is a blast of sweetness and, for about 5 minutes, a reminder of everything I didn't like about the dip I tried as a kid (realizing now that it was ALL wintergreen). I don't taste any of the General profile I've come to know but, admittedly, have forgotten with the exception of GES los. I need to get my hands on some good ol' General, as I think it's been too long -- wait, Getsnus does it again with the free cans of General los I have on hand.

Going on 10 minutes now, I have to be a party pooper and state my utter disapproval of this snus. Ach, it's horrible. Just spat it into a spent beer. Maybe I'll be brave enough to try the mini mint tomorrow, but it's hard to see the point when I have loads of good snus in the freezer. Sorry for the lame review. I have lots of snus I've never tried with my latest order, like LD Black, Gustavus los, and Gotlands Gra los (others I can't think of too)... I'll be back.

I agree Offroad Cranberry Loose is very tasty and good.

General Wintergreen, I thought was well done, though I am not a wintergreen fan. It's not one I would get, but if had, I'd use it.

LD Black is not bad. Not a licorice fan, but this portion actually got really good with a sweetness to it for a while, then it got bitter, but was time to spit out anyway.

I concur, General Wintergreen is dry, uncomfortable, and pure YUCK!

Ok, 1st time ever with General Sterk. 1st impression, positive. Has a good taste, but not the best. I think General original was a bit better, but to my tastes, I like Grov, Ettan more. Portion is very soft. This is good, but not sure I'd rebuy, because there are a few I like more, but I sure would not turn it down, and would happily use. Can't think of any negatives. Was not sure if it being a sterk would really be noticeable, it hasn't been. But it's a good solid nice snus.

Totally agree with that review...Offroad Cranberry and Offroad Wintergreen are pretty much the only 2 los I actually like these days. I use alot more portions than los now since Tom and his awesome Discreet came along, but every once in a while I do pop in a pris of one of those 2.

OK, just a few rants about Offroad Original Portion.
This is good. Has a good sweetish taste. Way better than Odens Classic Original, but something reminds me of it. Odens has a spicey aspect, I read someone refer to it as like pizza, I can see that. Offroad Original Portion isn't like that, but the consistancy, portion, bulk, is similar, but this tastes better. What is there not to like about this? Getsnus told me it wasn't selling and were gonna discontinue carrying it(then they said to check back later). I wonder how the "Strong Portion" is? Different?

It's time for school again, and that means it's time for Thunder Frosted Mini!

Portion: The portion was very wet, like regular Thunder Frosted. It was the size of Discreet, a little bigger than mini mint. It was soft on my gums and quite comfortable.

Taste: These taste so good. I'd say they're a little less sweet than the original but definitely still very tasty.

Nicotine: You can tell these have 8mg. I put one in this morning and it woke me up as well as my usual General Wintergreen does. Very nice for a mini!

Overall, these are great if you need a mini. My "snus lip" is usually not noticeable but I don't want to risk the fines on my tobacco free campus. They taste great and feel great and give full strength nic. It's all I need for a five hour school day!

Dont know if this has been revied on this forum before, but I'll go for it.. My personal favorite ever: General løs original

This is the snus I have been using from day 1, and am still using every day.

Design: The General can is a classic. The golden lid, combined with the gold stripes on the black background makes for a design thats stylish and easy on the eye.
                            9/10

Smell: General goes with a citrusy taste and smell in most of their snuses, and the original is definitly no exception. The smell is kinda round, and you can sence the hint of citrus.
                            7/10

Taste: Generals slogan has always been ''The one taste''..understandable. The taste of a good pris cant be described, its just way too awesome.
                            10/10

Packaging: General is somewhere in the middle between Grov and Røda Lacket, its easy to pack if you've done it a couple of times. Some people dont like the mess it makes in your mouth, and that drags the grade a little bit down.
                            6/10

Effect: General original contains 8mg/g and is no strong snus. It's a good every day snus, and the nicotine wont shock you.
                            7/10

Overall: 7,8/10. This is indeed a lovely snus, and its the only snus I can use regularely withouth getting tired of the taste.

                            Gotta love it

Someone mentioned above that Jak Classic was bitter and way too salty. I have to concur, I was disappointed in both Classic and Ice Fruit which to me tasted like knock-off original flavor nicotine gum.

One of my favorites is the Lucky line, both regular and white. They have a slight lemon overtone but its not as pronounced as say, General White. The regular portions are OK but tend to juice a bit much and can turn a corner into bitterness on a dime. However the whites IMO are worth writing home about. Here the flavors dont become as muddied and mixed and you can taste each clearly and have time to appreciate the subtleties before something else comes along and intrigues you. The "toasted" flavor lucky boasts about is definitely evident in the whites and is what makes this snus special. If you are looking for something you can use all day this is a good place to look.

Another favorite of mine is Gotlandssnus Yellow. Most people rave about Green but to me Yellow is really the better offering. However in the defense of Green I am more of a pure tobacco guy. The tobacco they use is of amazing quality and tastes like no other I have ever had. Another unique point is the use of Orange for the citrus flavoring. It adds a unique taste to the tobacco and sets it apart from other citrus snus. It can go bitter if you mess with it and release the flavor too much.

that's all I have for now. more to come.
