Do you know how long you have been snusing???

This is a question for the vets really. Do you really know how long you have been using snus for??

I know as I post that my estimates for how long I have been using snus are usually just that, estimates. I kind of remember when I started using, but have always been careful not to claim too much time. Today I have figured out I have been using much longer than I claim.

I am over two years now, about 27 months to be exact. I went to Northerner and checked and sure enough, I ordered my try out box in May of 2007. I was getting confused in my head as I keep saying I have been using for like 20 months. Yet my 2 year anniversary of my bike accident is coming up soon, and I knew I had been using for at least 6 months before that.

Just too funny to me. I just love snus so much, it get's harder and harder to remember when I wasn't using. I'm just bitter that I didn't have a chance to post and celebrate when I hot my two year mark. :wink:

I'm certainly no "vet", but I first heard about it and ordered some from Northerner a year after you, in May 08. Took a cigarette break from maybe September through November of last year.

It was July or August 07 when I first tried Camel snus.

First tried it in Summer of 2002.
First order from Northerner in Winter 2002. (5 tins each of Rocker Black, Red, Blue, and Silver)...
Made the real switch from cigs in July 2007.

November 2007 I think. My second order actually contained the Gotland Julesnus so it was definitely before December that I placed my first order (Couple of tins each of General White and GR White).

I started when I joined, but quit shortly thereafter. I wasn't doing it right, and it wasn't connecting with me. It did lead me to nasal snuff. But when my sinus started bothering me, I decided to try snus again, and that time, though I did have a few rocky moments, still learning and figuring it out, it has connected well, and I greatly enjoy it, and use it every day, almost as my exclusive tobacco item, with a small usage of nasal snuff, and the very very odd cig(still have some Eclipse).

April 2008, a can of Camel Original. It tasted like sugarwater, thats the best I can to describe it, but I had known about Swedish Snus for a couple of years already and knew immediately that I would have to try it out. I quit smoking the day my snus arrived.

But I had been snusing for 6 months when i found Snuson. I mentioned in my third ever post that I was a refugee from SMPOST, actually found a reference to Snuson there, came here, never went back!!!!

I was so pissed off the first time I tasted Swedish snus. My first mudslide too. If not for some of the tips and advice I got here I'd still be chain smoking.
