LOL, I wrote 2 years ago that it tastes like dirt. Great review, not that it comes as any surprise.

I'm sure other people besides cj like Level or they wouldn't be selling it (I would think). I'm sure it's either an acquired taste or just one of those "love it or hate it" things to an extreme.

Ah, that's probably so - the same people who buy those super-stinky cheeses.

I'm not throwing away the can I have; I'll wait a while and try it again. Some of these things do have a way of growing on you.

          Gizmer

Gizmer, I have friends in certain places and they let me in on a little secret.

Level is just a grand Swedish joke. They all gather around, and every 4 months someone new buys it from some foreign country ( I hear it is mosly Americans though). Then they all sit around laughing at that poor slob, sometimes laughing so hard they pee on themselves. Then they go away awaiting the next time they can laugh at some fool ordering Level again.

Level wasn't designed to make money, it was designed only as a joke on those that didn't know better. Seriously. No one could make something like this without making it so bad on purpose.

Sundog, no it doesn't. It just gets worse each day. One of only a handful of cans I ever threw out.

Sage, that's the reason I ordered only one can. Based on the "discussion" here I had to try it to see for myself.

Some of the norwegians buying snus in sweden buys Level, because it's the cheapest one. But noone buys it because they like it, and I for sure will never buy another can of it. :P

So we have an independent review coming up.

Make you a little deal. He hates Level, you owe me a can of NON Level snus.

He likes it, or even just tolerates it, I will send you 5 cans of snus. Deal??
I feel the same way about Knox portions.

OK, give us the Jakobsson's review. I think even Level must be better.

No way. I really liked the Jakobssons. It was better then the Ice Fruit, but not an all day snus. It goes very good with coffee, and the slight orange taste is amazing. The taste does turn after about 35 minutes, but I would def. keep a can of it in the fridge. Not so much the Level. I tried the Level again later on that day, maybe thinking that the coffee threw the taste off. Nope, it was worse without the coffee.

I do agree Jakobsson's classic does go well with coffee. But it might be the mingling of the saltiness with it. I have one in now, with coffee. It's an odd one, because sometimes it's not bad at all, and then sometimes I feel like I have a mini salt pellet in my mouth. I still don't get any particular taste, or orange to it, but maybe a slight smell. Now I have used snus long enough to have aclimated to the salt generally in all snus, but I also did a Grov and a LS yesterday, and they are not super salty like Jakobsson's.

I didn't really notice a super saltyness with it. I couldn't stand Grov white though. Not the salt, the taste. I might try it again a long time from now, but as it is now, that's my least favorite snus.

Second to least, Level would be the first now.

Of all the snus I have tried, Jakobsson's is the mosty salty of them all. At least to me. I have one in now. And I usually alternate between Ettan, Grov, LS, Camel, Odens, and Offroad these last few days. To me, it is high salt, and really, I have 2 portions left in this can, and that's all I get.
