    suggestions for whites

Since i've been snusing i really have'nt ventured very far into the world of white portions. No particular reason other than with so much to choose from when i started, i just decided to focus on los and reg portions first.

Anyways i'am now looking to start trying out more whites just to see what my tastes are in that catagory. I'll admit that this recent experience with getting my wisdom teeth cut out has added to my motivation. I've discovered that when you're snusing during the healing process, the less juice the better which makes whites ideal.Wanting to place a small order of nothing but whites to create my own little try-out pack and wanted to see what advice i could get here bf ordering. So i figured i'd list the few whites i've tried thus far and list my top three favorites in los and reg portions and see what suggestions ya'll could come up with.

    Favorite los:

1# Oden's kanel both es & reg versions

    2# Gotlands Gul

3# Oden's classic both es & reg versions

    Favorite reg portions:

    1# Oden's kanel

    2# Gotlands gul

    3# Gotlands flader

    Whites i've had so far:

    Retro
    Grovsnus
    Mocca pom
    General wintergreen
    General mint
    Catch eucalyptus

Of the bunch grov would be what i liked best with retro comming in a close second as far whites i could use on a regular basis. General mint and the mocca were ok but not something i could use on a regular basis. I acutaly liked the taste of the catch but i kept having a painful reaction everytime i used it so had to stop. I never cared much for wintergreen back when i dipped but figured i'd go ahead and try the snus version of wintergreen just to see if much different. Still don't like it.

Looking forward to see what feedback and suggestions i get.

I think sage just had an Elixyr

I would try the General Onyx. Not and all day'r for me but I find myself wanting one at least once a day. Pouch is black, but it is in fact a white portion.

I feel for ya man, just got done reading your post on that. Definetly sucks a$$. I can't speak for the ls and camel whites as i've never had them but the retro is really good so baffles me as to why it's being done away with. I can't imagine that it's not selling well as it seems to be popular on the snus forums.

It's not General. If you aren't General, you have 1 foot in the grave, and the other on a banana peel.

V2 has a limited edition portion set coming out soon. They tested 12 flavors about 5 months ago. Banana snus was one of the flavors. Wasn't received too well by most of the testers.

Yeah i guess somethings i'll never understand. While i think general has some decent snus, i sure don't consider them the "be all" of the snus world.

I could be off base...but I always equated then as the marlborough of snus.

Ettan white. Best white in my collection.

Give Granit White a whirl too. Very mellow flavor. It's my every day snus. Stays dry for a long time, so they last pretty long too. And for what it's worth, it's my favorite can. I get dirty at work, but the can is black, so no worries, hehe.

Funny, cause Granit White is the first candidate I am testing as a Retro replacement, I will have a post up when I am done with the can.

But so far, I dislike it. And Ii really liked the one can of Granit regular I had. But it starts out with a sharp flavor, a bit lemony maybe. To sharp for me. It can stay OK, but borders on the too bitter sometimes.

That right there just goes to show that you have to take people's reviews with a grain of salt. 10 people could tell you a snus is the best thing on the planet, but it just might not sit right with your palette. Just gotta try them.

Absolutely agreed, especially with something like this. Some snus is so direct, it is easy to gauge reactions. But this class of snus, one person's good taste may be just a bit too much for someone else, or not enough.

And I would encourage folks to try Granit. For the price, an excellent snus. I just wish I liked it more.

Grov White has been my go-to snus since day one. For some reason I just love it! I've had General, Ettan, Skruf, Granit, Kronan, Camel, 1847 and Retro and none of them compare. Lucky Strike White is another good one. I also keep Tre Ankare and Roda Lacket on hand - but they're "special" snuses. Grov White is my work horse!
