There is a reason coca cola is coca cola and there is a reason that the General is the General. Two billion swedes can't be wrong. ( I may be confusing Sweden and China). Go with the General and never fear for your brand being discontinued again.

I really don't have high hopes for anything General. Other than Oynx, just has never been something that really pleased me. But as General Billy says, at least with General, I would always know it will be there. There is some comfort in that idea, enough, I gotta see if can make it work.

But I expect putting any General up to constant comparison with Retro will make it fail. But time will tell

sage i thought you liked camel more than retro for some reason? I thought you ordered them by the ten pack?

btw if someone ever took away general wintergreen I would react the same way you are.

I've found that Granit tasted a lot like LS to me. I'm not sure if I'm alone on this or maybe I just associate the two because I got them at the same time, but I really like both for the same reasons.

That said, I think you'll probably find the flavor of Granit to be a little strong.

I don't knwo about the whites though. I've yet to try them.

Early on, I thought I might. But over time, the Camel started turning on me just a bit. Reason I love Retro so much is just how stable it has been for me, even when used day in and day out.

So reason I am gonna put so much pressure on any possible replacement, use it enough to make sure it doesn't turn.

Horatio, I will post my thoughts on Granit white when finish the can in a few days. Obviously, since same company, I had high hopes for it. But funny thing with Granit, may like the regular more than the white. Reason I am including it in my test run

sage, I've been thinking since this happened that Grov White would do you well. I've only been through a few cans of Retro, and honestly as far as I can remember, it reminded me of a perfect mix between Grov and LS - which is to say, salty tobacco goodness with a bit of the smoke flavor of Lucky.

whokilledmyhooker: dude, you suck. While I maybe (MAYBE) agree that this whole thing is slightly overblown, sage (and you) can post whatever the f**k they want. If you don't like it, don't read it, but if anyone posts some rude, stupid shit like you did, I don't mind telling them to cram it. If you don't like sage, get the f**k out. He and his posts are here to stay. I really don't like that you attacked someone's post like that. Turn it sideways and shove it up your ass. I use asterisks because I promised ice I would tone down the language. I guess it doesn't matter.

Good job to everyone else who ignored that post. I couldn't do it. lxskllr, you will probably delete this. Your powers of moderation are pretty badass, btw. I like how you can add bold lettering to someone else's post

While I agree with the sentiment, this is the type of thing I think we'd be better off without. It ends up devolving into a back/forth argument that doesn't get anybody anywhere. I would respectfully suggest that anybody that has a problem with another member take it to PM if it's that big a concern. If it isn't worth the hassle of a PM, maybe it isn't worth saying at all ;^)

I have high hopes. I would love to fall in love with Grove. Just such a mainstay of the snus world.

And don't stress the other stuff. Maybe he had a hard day. I am over it.

But one point I do want to make. Of course I am making a big deal of it. I get to for one thing. And I am a "well known" member here to say the least. But most important, I have probably 5,000 posts here helping other folks, welcoming newbies and answering their questions, cheer-leading new folks on as they discover the wonders of snus. I have given my blood, sweat, and tears to help make Snuson what it is today.

So once in a while, I am gonna make it fu****ng about me. I have earned that!!!!!

Funny thing about that super power edit stuff.... as you all know I'm a straight portions guy. They are all I use. Never touch the other kind. Too messy. But going back and rereading my past posts NOW they are ALL ABOUT LOS

You go, girl! Have you tried/what did you think of Grovsnus Svart? I know it's different than Lucky and Grov White, but it grew on me and now is a staple. That base rich tobacco/salt flavor is still there like the other Grovs....the Black is just a little more..interesting.

sage, while not comparable in taste to your holy trinity of cw, r, and ls, I strongly suggest giving a can of ettan white a shot
