    Wintergreen???

I've got to take my hat off to you folks that can put General Wintergreen in their mouth. I managed about a second before expelling the portion. What is this stuff? It smells and tastes like the liniment I used to rub into old rugby wounds 40 years ago. It is absolutely foul, the only snus that almost had me vomiting.

You guys that like it must have had your tastebuds cauterized and a cast iron gut installed.

It might be where you are from. In the US wintergreen is a popular flavor, in tobacco dip, and even candy like Lifesavers.

I'm in total awe of anyone that can like that flavour, I can eat almost anything, but that had me floored.

Each to their own, but not an experience I care to repeat

First person from the UK to PM with their address can have the remaining 23 portions, otherwise it's binned

It's certainly not the most delicious thing out there by any means, but I don't think you need to stick your tongue in a light socket to be able to use it.

Well, you should give it more try than just 1 portion. Something just take a few tries. I am not a fan of it, but I don't think it's terrible. Use at least 4 and see if it's any better. If I judged every snus from just one portion, I'd be chucking cans all the time.

I'm not a mint snus fan. I can tolerate Thunder Frosted occasionally. And I am using my Discreet but probably would never order it.

But General Wintergreen?? I won't put it on the level of Level (LOL). But I found it disgusting. OTOH, I am sure a few folks who love Wintergreen might find it perfect. Just never for me.

I really don't think I could try it again, the smell alone was causing me to gag. I must be particularly sensitive to it. I normally finish every can, I've not had a snus that had the same effect on me.

I don't have any with me, but I'll do one as soon as I get home.

It's obviously an acquired taste. I tried a wintergreen chewing gum once as a child somewhere in the 70's. This new brand of chewing gum had been heavily advertised. Exact the same reaction as yours. I vaguely remember the horrid taste as something undefinably chemical, somewhere between the air in a hospital and toilet deodorizers. A half fresh half rotten tasting perfect nauseant IMHO. That chewing gum was the only attempt EVER to sell something with a wintergreen flavor in Germany and it was taken off the market a few weeks later.

I can see though how someone who grows up with wintergreen-flavored products could actually like the taste. Once the nausea is overcome this kind of taste could be interesting. I have no interest though to try wintergreen again. It certainly would be my second can of snus that ends in the trash, no matter which brand.

                    Cheers!

I hate wintergreen. I can begrudgingly eat a couple wintergreen candies, but mixed with tobacco's terrible. Peppermint's my favorite mint, and I also like spearmint for certain things.

I am almost tempted to take you up on that offer after that bad review. I've seen it around and could never get myself to order it, but won't say no to a free can to see why SM decided to actually produce it (damn these silly experiments)
