For a ccan of loose it's around 60 i kiosks, and a little less in normal
super markeds. portion is a little less.
it's going insane, but as long as the politicians here in Norway are
so ****ing PC that they can't lower the tax on snus alone, it will stay
    that way or go up.

I can remeber a time when you could get a can of loosein sweden for 22kr,
    The good old days.....

Use index finger and thumb against the inside of the tin. When it gets somewhat firm (the snus of course  ) put it under your lip and finish it off by tightening your lip.

Practise makes perfect. It takes a while but it's alot less messy.

We don't use tools like prismaster here. Never seen one been used and I have only heard bad things about them.

During last few years snus markets has changed more than ever, and if we are looking snus history, Icetool is very new product but it already has been great succes.

Most of Finnish loose snus users use it and the real launch of Icetool in Sweden will happen during next year. We didn't wanted to rush with the great product and invention, right now Icetools are only sold in few very well chosen retailers.

There is comming great distrubutor/wholesaler/retailer chaing for Icetool in Sweden so I believe during next year there will be great and happy group of Swedish snus & Icetool users.

Our customers, very pleased snus users (and very global: in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, England, Holland, Scotland, Germany, Poland, U.S.A, Kanada, Russia, South-Africa, Spain, France, Italy, Australia...) has been our motivation to developing the Icetool products (and the superior quality) I am very happy where we are now, the feedback everywhere and from everyone (Icetool users, retailers, SnusOn.com members) has been totally great, thanks for that!

          Snus on folks!

This study examined incidence of cancer in Swedish construction workers.

In plain English, snus users (current users and ex-users) are 2 times more likely to develop pancreas cancer than people who never used any tobacco (between 1.2 and 3.3 times if we are to be 95% confident in these results).

For 100,000 person-years (1000 people during 100 years or 10,000 people during 10 years, etc) there were 3.9 cases of pancreas cancer among people who never used any tobacco and there were 8.5 cases of pancreas cancer among people who use or used snus.

According to this study, snus users do not develop more lung cancers or oral cancers than people who never used tobacco.

However, when the authors of this paper go on to discuss their results, they note that snus users are far less likely to develop any cancer (including pancreas cancer) than smokers.
They also note the difference among American, Asian, and Scandinavian oral tobacco users. Scandinavian oral tobacco is not related with increased risk of oral cancer, but American and Asian oral tobaccos are.

Here is a question: are Swedish construction workers representative of the general population? Probably yes, but one has to ask this question because construction workers are sometimes exposed to chemicals that may cause cancer.

The authors conclude that the statistical power of their results is weak, and that snus probably should be considered a possible risk factor for pancreas cancer.

What i find interesting about this study is that 12% of workers who declared that they were "never smoked snus users" were later discovered to be smokers or ex smokers. These workers were not excluded from the statistical analyses. The small increase in probability of pancreas cancer may well be due to this.

                Hello everyone,

I am a recent Snus user living in the UK at the moment but I spend about 50% of my time in the US.

The cultural perception in the UK is entirely different to the US. It seems that in the US, we see a lot of the American dip conatations.. i.e. people presume you're a dip user.

In the UK, people have no idea what snus or snuff is and they think it is nasal snuff when I ask if they've heard of it. As for the cultural implications of usage, people wonder what's wrong with your lip

This also reminds me. I've tried to introduce a couple of my (smoker) friends to Snus... they all said it is 'the most disgusting thing (they've) ever tried' -- mad ****ers.

My favorite brand so far is General. I tend to prefer the stronger brands as far as I can tell although I am looking forward to trying Ettan and Diplomat also. Not a huge fan of the flavored brands although I've only tried GR no.2, which gave me headaches.

                  Nothing left to say!

I think, it's the first time, I answer to one of your posts, so: welcome to the forum!

It seems, that everyone, who's looking for a 'nick-kick', loves either Skruf Stark or Nick & Johnny, so, you really should try them. They're both excellent brands, though I, personally, strongly prefer Skruf Stark Portions. Virtually every loose-brand, regardless of the nicotine content, is also worth a try, I think, because with loose, it strongly matters, how much you like a single brand and how big your prillas are.

I really don't want to sound weird!

                  Cheers'

                    Haha no worries thanks chainsnusser!

I have yet to try the los snus. I'm a little apprehensive about it in all honesty... I tried some Levi dip a few weeks ago in NC and really didn't appreciate all the gunk it generated (although I was giving it a bit of a chew -- and it was in my lower-gum, near the rear of my mouth).

I suspect from what I've read, los Snus would remain much more integral than the American equivalent.... I shall defiantly throw in a can or two with my next shipment!

                    Peace.

A northerner mate of mine summed up the general english reaction most succinctly with, immediately upon insertion of his first portion, an outburst of : "Ooii, that's fookin' minging, mate!"
