Very interesting. The Swedes seem to keep the snus in longer than is generally thought; 60-70 minutes is about the same as me. They use a crap load of lös snus though; 29g per day(big prises). That's way more than I use.

I agree, interesting. I keep regular portions in for about 30 to 45 minutes; strong portions for at least 60 to 70 minutes; and, los for at least 70+ minutes. I sure as hell don't use as much los as they do though- a can of los lasts me almost two weeks!

I love that terminology. Totally neutral. Brown vs white. NOT regular and white, like somehow, there is something wrong with the whites.

I think that is how we should start calling them here!!!

I never thought of it that way. However it might be best to call them "original" and "white" portions. My only thinking is that now with black portions it might get confusing. Plus the name "original" naturally provide a point of reference (e.g. we often describe whites as less moist than the original portions). Thus the name "original" would be an accurate indication of the history of the product so to speak, and thus would be a natural way to help folks get their bearings among the different variations of the product.

                Just my 2 cents.

Original vs. unoriginal doesn't have a very nice ring to it...

                    I like it.

The first portioned version of snus was made in the 1970's with water sprayed on the sachet to emulate the flavor of loose snus, thus, Original gets its name for this. Over time, undesirable people wanted something that was mellower and dryer. We won't talk about them...

                            Laugh all you want.

Just ask yourself this. Have I lost ANY war I have chosen to fight on Snuson?? I think not. Be careful, or you wake the sleeping giant who will crush your stupid, foul tasting BROWN portions!!
