Beyond the obvious “don’t use starks” I think the most likely solution is to make a smaller pris. I know with Skruf, if I don’t reduce the size I end up with a headache. On the other hand when I do cut back on the amount, I’m not bothered. So size really can make a difference.
However, there is another possibility (it’s a long shot). There have been a few folks who complain that certain brands have this exact effect on them (and it has nothing to do with the nic level- they can use other brands with the same nic amount without a problem). Of these folks, I have heard a number mention Goteborgs Rape and Gotlands gul as well as some who cannot tolerate anything with juniper berries in it. If you are using one of these brands or if you are using just one type of snus (e.g. everything you’ve got has citrus in it or juniper in it) or even if you are using snus from one maker (all V2 or all Swedish Match) it may be a reaction to something in the snus itself. You might try switching to a completely different brand, type, and maker. It’s worth a try.
Finally, when you say taste, I am assuming that you mean more of an after taste rather than the particularity of a single brand/type. My guess is that this is directly tied to the reaction you are having rather than the snus itself. In other words, solve the reaction and the taste issue disappears. Conversely, as long as you have the reaction, this problem will probably persist.
My final thought is this: if your trouble turns out to be the nic, I think you need to ask if you really want to develop a tolerance or just walk away from the whole thing.
I mean I love snus, I love the flavor, I love the whole oral thing. However, if someone said we can make the addiction go away… I would have to at least pause before I said……….HELL NO, I WANT SNUS.
