But thanks again for the replies!

Ah yes that would be my gentle art of completely irrelevant replies. Sorry bout that mate. Let’s try this:

Beyond the obvious “don’t use starks” I think the most likely solution is to make a smaller pris. I know with Skruf, if I don’t reduce the size I end up with a headache. On the other hand when I do cut back on the amount, I’m not bothered. So size really can make a difference.

However, there is another possibility (it’s a long shot). There have been a few folks who complain that certain brands have this exact effect on them (and it has nothing to do with the nic level- they can use other brands with the same nic amount without a problem). Of these folks, I have heard a number mention Goteborgs Rape and Gotlands gul as well as some who cannot tolerate anything with juniper berries in it. If you are using one of these brands or if you are using just one type of snus (e.g. everything you’ve got has citrus in it or juniper in it) or even if you are using snus from one maker (all V2 or all Swedish Match) it may be a reaction to something in the snus itself. You might try switching to a completely different brand, type, and maker. It’s worth a try.

Finally, when you say taste, I am assuming that you mean more of an after taste rather than the particularity of a single brand/type. My guess is that this is directly tied to the reaction you are having rather than the snus itself. In other words, solve the reaction and the taste issue disappears. Conversely, as long as you have the reaction, this problem will probably persist.

My final thought is this: if your trouble turns out to be the nic, I think you need to ask if you really want to develop a tolerance or just walk away from the whole thing.

I mean I love snus, I love the flavor, I love the whole oral thing. However, if someone said we can make the addiction go away… I would have to at least pause before I said……….HELL NO, I WANT SNUS.
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

I used to not like the taste right after I take it out. I would swish out my mouth with water. Not anymore. After a few weeks, I love the after taste. The test would be to put a pris right on you tongue, and once you like that, you will be set.

Anyways, I noticed a definite change about this after taste, it just took some time. Hope that helps.

you know, ive never had an issue with getting too much nic out of los, and ive baked some gigantor prillas. in fact, at first i couldnt get any notable feeling out of RL los, but i think my first los coincided with my tolerance taking a big leap.

what i CAN attest to is what snusdog was saying about certain brands. im not sure why, but skruf makes me feel like shit everytime, both the stark and original. i dont really have a huge tolerance so i can rarely keep a stark in very long anyway, but i cant figure out why original skruf does it too.

anyways, los is awesome. i vote stick with it. im about halfway through my first RL can and maybe a quarter through my ettan los, and im really liking it. i wish i wasnt trying to save money right now so i could spring for an icetool.
