No...But what I told Chad was right. I know this cause I read YOU Snusdog, you know I do too.

Even though I don't use lös, I still read every word you post about it. For one, when I do try it, I want to make sure I gave it my best effort, and you have taught me so much about lös over this time. But even if I were to never use it again, I STILL would read every word you write cause it is some of the best stuff there is about lös. It's a part of snus.

And not just you, there is a bunch of folks I could say just about the exact same thing about..

So I never could have answered Chad, or seen immediately his error. Without you. Cause YOU guys taught me.

Feel a little better??

      Chad,

Considering what you tend to like and dislike, here is where I would tell you to start:

      1. Phantom Blue
      2. Roda
3-4. Both of the Odens (regular strength- you will have to get them from Notherner)
      5. Gotlands gul (yellow)
      6. Grov
      7. Kronan
      8. Gote Rape

There are just not as many sweet varieties of los out there as there are with portions but these are a few that avoid the bergamot and most tend to be on the more flavored side (with the exception of Grov- but you just need to try Grov for its own sake- or Ettan- one or the other).

Hope this helps and keep us posted.

And throw in a can of Prima Fint. For whatever reason, that was the one los I really liked.

PLUS...it doesn't exist as a portion. You can only get it as los!! Useful for my own purposes that way, all you can compare it to is itself.

Your efforts with the various contraptions most mere snusers use have been cosmically frustrated for this purpose. You will feel the snus and shape it, guided by inspiration you yourself do not fully grasp. Los will speak to you. Each brand, like a different woman, will require you to love her in a unique way. Touch, the caress, the subtlety of feel will be your guide.

And one day, if so destined, you will rise to the order of dajin. Then hand baking will seem mere child’s play. All forms, all shapes, all pris types will be at your disposal in the efficiency of a single motion from the tin to your mouth.

You are meant to snus by hand. Embrace your destiny
LOL. Wow, you have just so inspired me.

Just for this, I will make another attempt at lös. This next time foregoing all modern contraptions. Returning to my roots, remembering the fathers, grandfathers, and great grandfathers who came before us never knowing these things we call prismasters, Icetools.

Yes, I will use lös again. I will use my hands. I will be at one with my snus!!

Snusdog, you are either an angel, or the devil himself. We shall see.

...by the way, notice my use of lös. Normally, when I am doing my usual testy and snarky defense of portions, I always use los on purpose, like I am purposely dissing it.. Like it's not even worth me bothering to go to the character map I think so little of it. But not tonight my friend. You spoke to me.

Man now that’s coming full circle.

In the post that sage is quoting (for those who may have missed it a few weeks back) VBS was bemoaning the fact that he had just gotten an Ice tool, did not like it, and was offering it up for trade/sale.

This is the very same tool that chad now has and that has so inspired him.

Its like the stars are all aliening and snus is the vortex drawing all into a cosmic unity.

I LOVE my Icetool. There were a few things I had to adjust to at first, but now, using my Icetool is like second nature. The prillas last longer and I seem to get more nicotine from them.

When I handbaked, I couldn't help but make the pris too firm. Now, I don't have to worry about that. The $40 is definitely worth it!

to clarify, i think i was trying to say this:

i've noticed los doesn't taste much like it's portion counterparts. ettan los tastes much different than ettan portion, but is equally good. so i think when i'm shopping for los, i'm going to equate goodness instead of matching flavor, as flavor is different....if that makes sense. like, i like offroad cranberry, i'm sure the los will taste different, but i'm sure its made with the same quality so i would like it regardless. same with gotland's products in los.

like, in the music section, they have the "Christian" section, and on each CD theres an equation label or whatever, and it's like "if you like Megadeth...you would like _________"(insert name of comparable Christian band). although not the same thing, they consider it close. i think that's kinda how los is...from what I've had so far.

Prima Fint was the only one I reasonable liked. maybe Skruff Stark as well. Thought Grove was just boring. And didn't get the love others have with Phantom Blue.

Not experienced enough to say beyond that.

And yes, you are learning. but no, there is no guarantee. A portion you love, you very well may NOT like the los, and vice versa.

Just keep trying different los with NO expectations. Judge it solely for what it is. In the end, you will have your los favorites. and separately, your portion favorites. If there is any overlap, it is due more to chance than anything else.

And quality does NOT equate. For years, most folks thought Offroad portion quality sucks. But many folks LOVE the los. You can't assume anything when going from one to the other. My major point in my posts.

so it's kinda like portions, just try and buy. see what works. good thing i have an open mind. if i'll put level in my mouth, that means i'll try almost anything.

                          and cue......gay jokes.

You just need to forget everything you ever learned from portions when you try los. Keep them separate in your brain, and judge each on it's own merits

All i am trying to say.
