Snus Digest

Just a few thoughts and ratings of snus. It's going to be hard to remember everything I've tried so a few might be missing.
Scale 1-10
8-Gotland yellow portion. Fell in love with this snus and might have overdone it as I'm not that into it anymore. Great flavor with a little bit of lemon but mostly pure tobacco.
8-Gotland yellow loose.
6.5-Gotland green. Not for me.
8-Gotland anis. A nice flavoured loose.
8.5-Gothenberg Rapee. Not an everyday but taste good and when I give it to non snusers they have all like it. Kind of reminds me of tea with a little bit of berry.
4.5-Gothenberg #2
7.5-Lucky Strike portion. Great container and taste pleasing. Don't know why I didn't fall in love.
3-Catch Eucalyptus mint. I couldn't even give it away.
3-Ettan portion. Really rubbed me the wrong way and tasted like chocolate but in a bad way. Gave it away and recipient tried to give it back.
8.9-Ettan los. Great grind and flavour. Great snus and recommend anyone to try.
6.5-Grov los. First los for me and nothing stood out. Giving it another go because I have a feeling this could be great snus.
7-Grov portion. Good with coffee but probably not for me.
8-Kronan los. Taste a bit nutty to me and I enjoy. Hard to describe this one.
7-Roda white. Wasn't great but a can of los is on its way.
7-Claq Qui. Huge dissapointment. Had high expectations but it was strong with flavour but not to fond of the flavour. Prob give it another shot in six months.
3-Offroad Cranberry. No offroad for me but might give coffe vanilla a shot.
5-Odens stark licorice.
9-L.D. Black. Smooth creamy black licorice. A dessert snus.
7-Gothenberg's prima fint. Lack of flavour but I would recommend for a first time los'er.
8.5-Phantom classic los. Not a big fan of budget snus but this one delivers. Smells and taste a bit of cocoa and tobacco. Mild.
7-Jakobsons classic. Orange citrus tobacco and slightly bitter. Kind of grows on you mid can then towards the end of can I'm done. Gotlands yellow is similar and I feel much more pleasing. Cool lid though.
8.5-General onyx. Best tasting snus ever and so happy I payed the extra dough... and then you get sick of it. A great occasional snus though.
8.8-General sterk los. Good, just prefer reg General.
9-General los. Solid. Never gets old.
8.8-General portion. Solid.
9.8-General stark norweigen white. I make sure to always have it in stock. 1st or 2nd fav portion snus.
6-Thunderwintergreen. Meh, reminds me of grizzly wintergreen and I feel like I don't want to swallow.
9.8-Thunder stark frosted. It lives up to the hype. Its like Wrigly's spearimint gum but snus. Yum. Always in stock.
8.4-Nick and Johnny strong portion. Great snus but sits on the bench to General stark.
4-Odens stark portion. Too overpowering tobacco flavouring.
7.5-Knox portion
7.5-Skruf white. Taste the same as stark white but less nicotine.
7.3-Skruf stark portion.
8-Skruf stark white.
10-Skruf stark los. My favorite snus. A few rolls have been used and it still is king of the castle. :lol:

A few reviews are probably missing but I'll edit when I remember them.
Just my opinion on various snus's and I kind of wanted to recall what I've tried over the past 9+ months of snusing.[/u]

Interesting about your comments on Ettan portion. I could taste a disturbing chocolate flavour in it, put me off it very quickly. Haven't thrown it away yet, I'll keep trying in case my taste adjusts but I don't think it will.

I have yet to try Ettan (have some coming in the mail) but the hint of chocolate is was is intriguing me.

I like Ettan, original, white, and los. I'd give it a good 7.5, if not 8.
I do agree about General Sterk white. It is my No.1 as I type this.

When I was trying to place an order at Getsnus a few weeks back I had problems with the age verification. One can I was trying to get was the General Sterk. When I had to call an the order, there was a failure to communicate, and they sent a General Extra Sterk. I'm going through the can, but man it is some potent snus!

Found your ratings very reasonable. What was most interesting, you are about at the right spot. Much of what you are using is bunched up, you like *most*. With more and more time, expect everything to spread out a bit. I find the longer we use, the more and more we eventually move away from, smaller and smaller list of favorites.

And the eucalyptus?? God I couldn't stand that stuff.

Love chocolate but for some reason I hated it. This was an early snus experience so my taste might have changed. I should give it another shot as it seems to be quite popular. Love loose ettan. If you dig chocolate try phantom classic loose. Smells and taste like it has cocoa flavouring.

How many cans do you have open at any given moment. For the past five months I have my different mood snus's. I always have at least 3-4 cans open with a loose(usually skruf), a "basic"(general white sterk), a flavoured(Thunder frost), and maybe a can of something I'm trying.

Give Offroad licorice lös a try, I think you'll love it. Your ratings look reasonable. They don't completely coincide with mine, but I see where you're coming from with them. Here's the exceptions I noted... I really dig Catch Eucalyptus. I like mint and eucalyptus, so it's a natural for me. Ettan, and Grov I enjoy in all their forms. I naturally prefer the lös since that's my preference anyway, but I like the other styles also.
