Any experience with Offroad American Wintergreen?

Has anybody here tried Offroad American Wintergreen loose snus before?

I'm an ex-dipper, and Skoal Wintergreen Long Cut was always my go-to dip. Although I'm very happy with my switch to snus, I sometimes feel a longing for a big wad of wintergreen-flavored goodness stuffed into my lower-lip, but I would rather not put all of those carcinogens into my system. The fact that it is long cut drew my attention, and judging by getsnus.com's pictures of it it appears to have the same texture and consistancy of skoal, but the flavor is really what I really wonder about.

I should also point out that I don't necessarily care if it good from a snus point of view, but more from a dip point of view, if that makes any sense.

Any and all responses are appreciated.

I am a fan of both the longcut and the loose. The longcut has a slight wintergreen flavor without all the sweetness and fire cured taste of a standard American Dip. It is like a sugar free "Hawken".
It is a in-between product in that it is not dip or snus. There are definately people who do not like it on this forum but I think it is a excellent product that gives me a good nic hit. It also gives my upper lip a break from portions.
Dont order it from GetSnus because there have been complaints about freshness. I cannot pinpoint it but the cans I received on two orders from GetSnus were nothing like the product that comes from Northerner or Buysnus.

You might also like Klondike! It tasted good but was too sweet for me to use more then once a week.

I do like the Offroad Wintergreen los and their Cranberry los...both are very good and probably would appeal to an ex-dipper. I'm not familiar with the longcut version though.

I've decided to give it a try. Looks like this isn't a situation to sacrifice quality for cost, so buysnus it is! I'll give my impressions of it when it arrives.

I remember some older posts of ex-wintergreen (skoal/grizzly) dippers liking this stuff. Gave them a bit of the old feel they remember.

What is longcut snus? I only thought los came in one type....just "los".

There are many different levels of 'grind'. From long-cut to fine cut. Long-cut is, obviously, longer strands of tobacco. Fine on the other hand is almost ground into a powder.

Love both the regular Wintergreen and the Longcut. I never was a continuous user of dip, so I can't really comment on how it compares, but overall it seems that most former/current dippers here are not that impressed. Mostly due to the fact that the snus just does not have the bite or nic hit of dip.

Longcut is decently strong enough for me; as I have stated before, it is the only snus I have used that can quell the urge for a smoke.

                    chad,

Most of the people using longcut use it like dip.

snusify (12 hours ago) I lower deck it because long cut and does not bake very well and in my experience works better when used like dip. You can use a bigger pinch in the bottom lip. I would never use regular snus in the bottom lip it would just turn to mud.
