elixyr power energy - great choice! it's the red headed step child here at SnusOn, apparently. a few of us really dig it though, so i hope you will too. it's a great first thing in the morning snus.

ettan white portion (one of my top 3!) including the above mentioned offroad cranberry strong, and my beloved thunder frosted. (have you added that on to your order yet) if not, you should!

gotland's green is a GREAT snus. even if you don't order it from getsnus, i still think you should order it. it's really good.

and of course, any discreet is a great choice. they make a great product.

let us know what you think of thunder extra strong blue, it's a new product and no one has reviewed it yet so we're trying to see what it's all about.
I will let you know about the Thunder blue. I wish I had seen Sage's advice on holding ones that I didn't care for at first. I am liking the Discreet's mint and emerald more and more. I should have not used the peach and strawberry all at once. I am down to my last two portions of them and waiting on my first order from BuySnus.

I just noticed at Getsnus they have a Loose Snus Starter Pack with the brands below with the Prismaster for $13.90. It's on back order but are the choices pretty good for me to try?

    Included are:
    1 - Grovsnus Loose
1 - Gotlands Classic Yellow Loose
    1 - General Loose
    1 - Offroad Original Loose
    1 - Skruf Stark Loose
    1 - Prismaster Portion Tool

i just got into los recently when nordstrommen released their delicious limited edition los line. now, i'm getting more into it with my icetool (because of how easy it makes it to make the snus over the difficulty/quality of a prismaster, it's like night and day), and the only one i've regulary used is ettan los. but i do have a bigger los order coming in the next few days so i'm excited to see what i'll enjoy most.

ProudMarineDad, I don't know the exact figures, but I read somewhere when I first joined here, that the salt content in snus is less than a coke. It just tastes like it's alot of salt, but in an overall day, the salt you get from snus is pretty much insignificant. I can't find any sources right now though. Still working on my first cup of coffee.
Thanks. I didn't figure it would be much. I'm not worried about it too much for myself since I don't salt my food. Just was curious.
ProudMarineDad, here is a link to a thread about the sodium content in snus. I hope it helps!

Well , I will not be ordering anything from getsnuss . I just posted about it here ( http://www.snuson.com/viewtopic.php?p=85048#85048 ) . I should be getting my order from Northerner today . I am going to go ahead and place my getsnus order with one of the two other stores after they both arrive . I will add the Offraod Cranberry , Thunder Frosted , and Gotlands Green . Along with some other ones that sound tasty . Just wish I could try the montecristo and RJY . Stupid embargo .... Their cigar brands from Cuba are very very good . I can just imagine what their snus is like . I am only 20 minutes from Canada . I might have to see if anyone carries them locally over there . On a sad not , looks like no Discreet for me other than the free sample that should be on the way .

nobody carries them locally, same reason you can't buy cuban cigars in the states.

I meant locally on the Canadian side of the boarder . I don't want to drive 2 hours into Canada just to find it . ....

It did. Parrot, how are you doing now? I was on high blood pressure medicine and cholesterol medicine last year but no longer have to take them. It's amazing what losing 130 lbs can do. I weighed 290 at my heaviest in May 08 and currently weigh 160. Did it on my own by being diligent in exercising and eating right. I have maintained my current weight for about 4 months now.

And another welcome Maron and Spike!

Couldn't add much more advise then what youve already received.

regarding the discreet, you might want to try calling or stopping at some or your local tobacco shops. Quite a few are carrying Discreet and General snus now. Tom from Discreet is also on the forums here and he may be able to point you to a local vendor.

                  Again...welcome

That question has come up before. Generally, the only advice is to watch for signs that your sodium is too high. IF you see those signs, back down on usage until things level out again.

Maron, Canadians are even worse about carrying any snus locally.

You want to try the Cuban?? You must have some friend living right accross the border. Have them order it for you. I have never heard of any Canadian store just carrying Swedish snus.
