I like the flavor of Oden's Kanel and Classic. I use a can of one or the other every 5 or so cans. The ES made me sick(both flavors). Can't help you there. Like all snus I have tried I get more flavor from the portions than I do the los.

As it is though, I have reduced my sterk usage to about 4 portions a day. So no matter what, I don't use too much on any given day
i'm going to drop some on an order. i like the kanel original, so i'm going to add it on my next one. i've seen alot of favorable reviews for the ES so i thought i'd check around on it.

Not a fan of the portion material at all. However, Oden's Kanel XS is my number 1 los. I have a pris in right now. I have about 12 cans of this stuff in my freezer. Not too strong tasting and for an Extra Sterk, the nic seems to not hit you immediately all at once (Skruf, N&J) and instead keeps going smoothly and nice over an hour. Good to start your morning off with a pris of Odens Kanel XS and a cup of coffee!

I didn't really like Oden's Classic. I don't know if it was because it was too dry or the strange portion size/material or just the taste, but it wasn't very appealing to me.

I do however like the ES and the Kanal and Kanal ES. I still have the same issues with the portion, but I enjoy the flavor enough to deal with the relatively uncomfortable portions.

I actually love the portion material. I though it was very soft. I haven't tried the ES though. I love Odens Classic Kanel though. 6 out of 7 days a week it's my morning coffee snus.

Honestly, I don't think I have ever given portion material much thought. sure, I may think one is extra soft occasionally. But portion material has never played even a minor role in my like or dislike for snus. It's the taste, man.

I've had the ES Lakrits portion, Original Kanel lös, and Original and Kanel ES lös (löses? I'd be tempted to make it løser, but then again, it's an adjective and not a noun.) and I like all of them. I prefer the ES ones though, as the flavour is different in the Original Kanel, and the ES Kanel was the first lös I'd ever tried, so I think I came to expect that taste. If they could make an ES Lakrits lös with the same taste as the portion I'd buy a roll immediately.

On another note, to try and find the plural of lös/løs, I hit up the Norwegian wiki, and came upon this line at the top of the article:" Denne lille klumpen blir i slang kalt pris, klype, jølstring, prill, prille eller prell."

In English (as much as my poor Norwegian tells me), the clump of snus is call pris, klype, jølstrin, prill, prille, or prell in slang. I've heard of a couple of them here, but how common are the other ones in Norway? I kind of like the sound of jølstring. It makes me think Christmas-string, although I couldn't be certain.

Is there a taste difference between the Odens Classic Original Portion, and the Odens Extra Stark Original Portion?

Couldn't say for the portion, but I notice a difference in the lös, so I would think the portions probably would as well.

the ES kanel los is 1000 times better than id have imagined. i really thought itd be amped up cinnamon with that sourish stark taste, but not at all. its a really good snus.

if youre into the giant nic fix, im not really.

I have tried odens cinnamon regular loose, cinnamon es loose, cinnamon regular potions.

i liked both of the loose kinds. The portions i did not like at all but i tried them after i had the loose. so maybe i was expecting loose in a bag and it just did not turn out that way or something. i think i may have got a bad can of portions because they even had a bad smell to them.

i really like the cinnamon es loose a lot and have kept some since the first time i tried it. The other day i was getting ready to make my big $5 off order at buysnus and i emailed them. i asked them why they did not have odens cin es loose listed on their site. They said the producer quit making it. i cried all day but it did not help any.

Over half of the tins I've ordered have had busted-open portions; it seems to be a common problem with Odens. They need to work on that.

I found the los to be hard to bake and had a greasy texture to it; not pleasant........it's the only los that has turned almost my entire hand brown from baking. The taste is a lot better than the portions, though.

I was under the impression that this was their biggest seller. Seems all I hear about positive about Odens is their ES Kanel Los.

                              Not even close to similar..

Oden's Extra Stark los is my absolute #1 favorite tasting snus... I love it. I have atleast 5 cans of the stuff at all times. I really like the kanel too, excellent with coffee, and another odd favorite with it is butter pecan ice cream... MMM. This is a good morning or desert snus.

The original is good, the smell reminds me of wet dog but the taste it good. It's a smoky, spicey taste, a little overpowering of the tobacco but good nonetheles... this would be my standby snus if it wasn't for Original Whites.

have an email into northerner asking them if it's still being made. they have it for sale but if you add even a single can to your cart it says 1-3 days.

a while back, 2 years maybe, they made N&J loose and it was my main brand. seemed like everyone in the forums who used loose at least liked N&J loose. Some like me really liked it a lot. Then one day you could no longer buy it. Blew my mind that so many people seemed to like it and they quit making it.

My guess from reading is that in certain areas like american loose users liked it. but in the grand scheme they make up a small fraction of snusers. hope that did not happen this time.

far as portions go, lot of times i will find a loose that i like. Then when i try the portion of it i don't like it at all. this is not always true for example i like general loose (regular and es) and i also like the portion versions. I like offroad wintergreen loose but the portion versions i don't like at all. i find that holds true mostly with the smaller snus companies like V2, oden, gotland, etc.

that's my 2 cents for today
