Got some new stuff to try

So today I got some new stuff to try from buysnus.

    1847 White
    Granit White
    Granit Regular
    Grov White
    Ettan White
    Tre Ankare
    Taboca
    Gotland Yellow portions
    Skruf sterk Los

2 rolls of Claq Qui (my regular go to sterk)

I guess I am looking for a LS replacement something I can use all day.
I have had many cans of Ettan original before so I figured I'd try the white.
Same with Grov, but Iv'e only had the black before.
Gotland yellow was ordered on many recommendations here on snuson.
Same with Skruf sterk los. Everyone seems to like it.

The Tre Ankare, Taboca, and Granit were wild cards.
So far Ive opened a Granit white and I must say I am liking it alot. I'll see what happens by the end of the second can of white.

Oh yeah, the 1847. You all hate it, but I had to try. The tin is sweet like everyones said, and I figured I wouldn't get to try it in the REAPER box since no one wants to part with the tin.

    Anyways.....

I will never talk good about the Gotlandssnus Yellow. It tasted like Lemon dishwasher soap to me. The portion material was rough on the gums too. But like you said, a lot of people like it. Now the green is a different matter.

I tried the green. I liked it at first, but it got old to me and was a little bitter but not a good bitter.

I didn't taste any pepper in it at all. Just lemon crap!

I like the 1847 a lot; original portion though. I seem to be in the distinct minority, but it would be in my top 5 favorites if I were to use portions only.

Chad did you throw white or original 1847 in the reaper?

I think the following are at least candidates for every day use.

                    Granit White
                    Granit Regular
                    Grov White
                    Ettan White
                    Taboca

The rest are more specialty snus, just not as suited to use too often

I tried both yesterday for the first time...yellow in los and green in portion.
I'm still deciding on both. I've set a new 4 try rule...not judging anything until i've had it in my lip at least 4 times.
first impresion was lemon big time on the yellow and hint of apple on green. I know portion and los is supposed to be quite different on these as well

Wade, I just went through a similar situation while trying to replace LS. I definitely recommend LD Original (Unless your a white portion user like sagedil) or Gustavus original. They were very close to the Lucky Strikes. LD is more mild but with more bergamot, and Gustavus had more natural tobacco taste with a richer flavor and more salt. Both are very good snus brands. I no longer have that "Aww crap, what will I do without Lucky Strikes!" stress feeling that I had before.

I have a special order from Buysnus for two LD Whites. Also have an LD regular coming via the exchange.

Strong candidate for my Retro Replacement.

Thanks for the tip. I'll have to try Gustavus, that sounds right up my alley. I'm rationing out my first and only can of Lucky Strike right now. It was my first portion I popped in after being sick and unable to snus for a week. So good.
