Sage - retro replacement?

Haven't seen the thread in a while and couldn't find it in search, but regardless - how's the replacement quest going?

Yeah, I have been a bit bad. supr busy at work this week. Did my 2nd candidate, Phantom White, and it failed after a full can. Not a bad snus, but a distinctive flavor at first that grows stronger and more noticable the more you use.

Just not what I am looking for, I would grow weary of it fast with much use.

So.

Have LD White on the way. But first, I might as well give General White a tryout.

So look for a fuller review of Phantom, and my initial comments about General soon, or maybe Monday. Have the Women's Flat Track Derby Regional National Championship this weekend. Raleigh is hosting. I came out of retirement to help maintain the track for this event, as it is bigger than anything we ever have done.. This is a big deal. Top three finishers this weekend go onto the National Championship

what about granit or gustavus? i have some i could send. i'd also LOVE to get you a can of ettan white so you could see what you're missing out on

I hate Ettan white. Too boring.

My first candidate was Granit white, did you not read me??

I also have a can of straight Granit coming, am curious to give it a 2nd go. I had my first as part of the first Box Pass, really liked it then. Was surprised I disliked the Whites compared to what I remember about the Regular. The citrus was just not as pronounced, or at least I *think* it wasn't

My memories of Gustavus is it is a bit too flowery for this purpose.

i didn't mean to type in granit, i was holding skruf white, granit white, and gustavus, and just typed in the wrong ones. i was going through my stock for you. did you consider skruf white? it's rather mild. gustavus is an interesting snus.

Skruff White is the most bland snus I have had yet, not a fan. And Phantom brown, nice, but the opposite problem, way too flavored for every day use.

See my struggles?? I feel like Goldilocks. This one is too mild, that one is too strong. I want on just perfect in-between. Like Retro!! :cry:

Give the General a fair retry. It's not as good as Camel, (never tried the Retro), but it is a very decent snus.

I actually like general, I can understand why the swedes like it so much it isn't the most heavily flavored "traditional snus" profile but it is very good!
