I had a partial can of General Extra Sterk Loose that had dried out a bit.
I tried my usual rehydrate procedure. 2 parts bourbon and 1 part water. Only I slipped and gave her around 8 parts water. :?
So I figured into the microwave and we'll boil it off right quick.
WRONG
I dumped the soggy snus into a ceramic cereal bowl, popped it in, set a minute on high, turned around and heard something.
It was crackling.
Pretty cool I was thinking. Then I saw it was still soggy, but there were sparks. White sparks like if you put tin foil in the microwave. I watched more.
My microwave filled with fathoms of thick white billowing smoke. It poured out the bottom and the quantity was unbelievable. It smelled like a wet cigarette burning.
I opened the door and thick billowy smoke fell out like liquid marshmallow clouds. I looked in the bowl and there was a charcoal red spot in one of the snus lumps.
I closed the door and went for 1 more minute. Sparks dancing in the bowl from inside the snus like sprites. Foggy smoke everywhere. I then saw a portion of the snus glow charcoal red. That was enough.
I pulled out the bowl and the snus was still wet. It was charred in a few spots that had turned hard as rock. My kitchen smelled like someone smoked 12 cigarettes at once in it.
I had to know more.
I put a third of a can of Granit loose in a bowl and in it went for one minute. Nothing. Nothing but splattered snus all inside my microwave. It dried out and turned brownish red. No sparks. No smoke.
F**KING CRAZY
DO NOT PUT GENERAL EXTRA STERK LOOSE IN YOUR MICROWAVE!!
