    Skruf Cranberry

I'm curious... Has anyone run into the problem of Skruf cranberry taking on a really f**ked up cranberry flavor after they've used it for a while? I was sooo down with this snus for the first half of the can, and then one day it just tastes foul as all hell to me. To the point of it landing itself in the freezer for when I'm desperate.

It was kind of a rancid tar with hints of cran flavor I ended up with on that fateful day. Haven't been so happy to get a portion out of my mouth since Camel mellow.

I did a Skruf vs Offroad Cranberry Deathmatch.

i'll say it myself, i'm an offroad cranberry pimp. it's a great product and far superior to skruf cranberry in flavor, comfort, and longevity. i suggest you check it out.

well that may solve my problem.... looks like I'm gonna have to try offroad. It's cheaper than skruf too right?

I was hoping for a nice strong cranberry taste (I LOVE cranberries) from skruf as I'm already smitten with skruf original and was hoping for an equal showing, but it was most certainly not the case.

Good review by the way. I like the deathmatch concept.

What do you think of Rape #2?

I love skruf cranberry but offroad, not so much. The flavor seems off to me.

Since I have a can of both, I'll pop one of each in and see if I have changed my mind!

Finally put an order through for a can of Cranberry Offroad due to Chad's high praise. Looking forward to giving it a try.

I have a tin in the basement freezer. I guess I should try it, but I don't really expect to like it. I've had over a dozen V2 portions, and I haven't found one I'd use if it were the last snus on earth :^D

Another vote for the Offroad Cranberry. The skruf just seems to have some bitter taste to it after the first few minutes.

ah.... confirmation. I thought I was the only one.

I was really into the skruf when I first got it.

Definitely not the only one! I also liked it at first, but now it just seems bitter, which the Offroad doesn't do.

I've had both and to me skruf cranberry was a disappointment. Tastes more like a berry blend than cranberry, weak on nic, and turns bitter quick. Was impressed with OR. cranberry, actualy tastes like a splash of cb juice.

OR Cranberry is the only snus where i prefer the reg portion version over the los which is odd since i tend to use los whenever possible.

I like both, but I lean toward Offroad's rendition.

That being said, Skruf's is fine; as long as you aren't going into it expecting true cranberry taste...

I prefer the skruf version. I find it to be much more organic and welcome the bitterness. For me it's the difference between a glass of fresh cranberry juice and a glass of ocean spray made from concentrate, loaded with sweetener. I could see fans of discreet liking it, for sure. My favorite flavored snus is oden's kanal, gotlands green, and hopefully claq qui as I've just ordered a roll of it. For whatever reason, the only mainstay v2 product I really dig is the phantom blue.
