    Grand Prix

    Hi guys,
Was doing some running around today, and stopped for a Dew, and they had some Grand Prix for 1.50 a can, so I grabbed one of each to try, Original, Spearmint, and Wintergreen.
They weren't refrigerated, and no expiration date. Don't care for that, haven't tried them yet, but was wondering, how do you know when Grand Prix goes bad? These are really dry white portions.

It goes bad at it's moment of conception

I'm not sure if it would be a fair review or not, from what I read at another site, it's made by a company that went bankrupt in 2008. So this stuff may have been on the shelf for a year.. Theres no date, I can't tell how old it is.
But I will give it a try and tell y'all what I think.
All I can say now is, the wintergreen smells like well, wintergreen, the spearmint smell like bubble gum, the original smell like old socks. But smell means nothing so I'll post back.

Grand Pee and Tourney are 2 of the worst snus available. You probably are better off chewing on an old sock.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

I think Grand Prix is the same as Tourney, under another name. If so, it's not too bad. Way better than the US Camel candy. It's actually made in Sweden too. I personally wasn't too impressed with the Spearmint, but I like the Original enough to get and use it now and again. And the Wintergreen was OK. If the back of the can of Grand Prix says, "Made in Sweden under the authority of Liggett Group", then it's the same as Tourney.

                Well,
I got in an original now, and yeah it taste as bad as it smells. Not much flavor, but what IS there, isn't very good.

Give it some time. They remind me of Lucky Strike Whites.

Yes it says that. Is there a way to tell how old it is by the bar code or anything?

I don't know the date, but they are sealed, and their base tobacco is dry, so it should hold up a long time. I also read the company in Sweden that makes them went bankrupt, I don't know this for fact, but that doesn't mean they are shut down and closed up.

Hope these pics help a little,
I put them side by side with Camel and a regular Skoal pouch. So you can compare colors, and size.. I also hate the can...

Cool pics. Personally, I like the Original, and the Wintergreen is good. I have one in now(Tourney label). Now, they are not near as good as the Swedish labels at all, like General, Skruf, Ettan, etc. But to me, these are the best American brand snus I have tried. I don't like the syrup sweet Camel. These are dry, but after a while, they taste good to me.
