Snus has saved me SO much money.

My favorite part about snus - having money left over on payday. I can't stress this enough. When I was a smoker, spending 5-6 bucks a day on smokes, when payday came I was lucky if I had 10 bucks in my checking account. Last paycheck rolls around, I had about 360 extra not allocated for bills or anything, just profit rolling forward as snus is saving me money. It's a beautiful thing.

    It is a beautiful thing!

Just don't spend the difference on IceTools and nasal snuff. Like I seem to do. J/K I have saved a bunch of money and health.

Cigarettes here in New York are topping $9 a pack! I was a pack a dayer, so snus has also saved my wallet from fire..

shamefully, im spending more, as i didnt come to snus from smoking, and i rode out like 6 months of free american camel snus somehow.

i wear the crown of shame.

not sure how much money ive saved by not smoking and using snus. i used to make a trip to the store everyday to get cigs. almost without exception i would end up buying a bunch of other stuff i did not need. just cig cost vers snus cost i figure i spend a third of the money. by not buying junk while on the cig buying trips i bet i save $20 a day. ive saved enough that my wife mentions it from time to time. for her to say something positive about my tobacco use is worthy of a cnn headline news alert

I'm spending roughly the same amount on snus as I did on stogs, the difference being I have a mini fridge filled to capacity with snus plus freezer runoff for judgement day: snus apocalypse

Haven't saved a whole lot yet, I'm still trying to find my brands so I'm spending a lot of money testing new ones out, and some of them get dumped.. I still smoke, but used to smoke 2 packs a day, now it's just one pack. Sitting at the computer I used to chain smoke, now I pop in a pouch.
But a couple rolls a month should cover me full time, that's a HUGE savings.

That's like me. No way I could smoke 2 packs a day again, but I'm still smoking. It's slowly worming it's way back in. I'm gonna kill a bunch of my half empty cans, order a roll of Thunder Frosted, and do it the Sage way for a couple of months. (Sterks only)

I was spending $50 a week on cigarettes. I now spend maybe $150 at most every two months for both snus and snuff, usually even less. So I guess I am saving at least 60%. And soon, when I have 100 cans of snuff sitting on my desk, I will spend a bunch less again.

Veganpunk, if you are smoking more than you want, if the smokes are filling a vacuum that your snus doesn't seem to be able to touch, then yeah, crank up the nicotine for a while. I went like 4 months that way as I completely transitioned away from cigarettes. And still had no problem going back to mostly regular once the "habit" part was firmly broken.

Yea, i think that's the issue. I keep getting snus for new tastes, and some of them aren't giving me enough nic. I need to stock up some Thunder, and GES. I do need to exercise a little bit of will power, old habits die hard. If I could get my wife to switch, I don't think I'd have any problem, and could smoke one every month or so. It's just hard being around them, and sitting on the porch smoking is our time. I think we're gonna start walking or something to change routine.

Stop blaming yourself. You identified the reason and it isn't you. I briefly have had some women stay with me last year, both smoked. Immediately, my smoking shot through the roof. I went from maybe one every few weeks to at least 8 a day.

Smoking is a social sport, and one thing that snus just can't replace. Sharing a snus together just isn't the same.

So either accept that you will always smoke a bit if your wife s smoking, or encourage her to come over to our side.

I know if my next girlfriend smokes, I will smoke much more. Fine, I still ain't smoking 2 packs a day.

EDIT...Not at the same time.

I just want to win the battle, even if it's only for a few months. 2 years ago we quit cold turkey for 4 months. We almost killed each other. Since snus kills those I HATE THE WORLD F.O.D.!!!! moods, I think I can do it again.

I just know if I am with someone who is smoking, I will smoke too sometimes.
